It was spectacularly beautiful up on Cumberland Pass on Anthony’s land! 360 degree views and very private. We got lost on our way there & didn’t have cell service. Highly recommend capturing turn by turn directions before you leave home. As everyone has mentioned, Google directions aren’t right. We had a lovely weekend once we got there and will definitely go again!

Camping at Cumberland High Alpine was truly a magical adventure! We drove up from Pitkin and stopped along the way to take pictures of the wildflowers and mountain stream. Saw a moose along the way! Reached the top and directions were easy to follow to our campsite.
As we setup for the night we took in all the views that are absolutely breathtaking! Gorgeous sunset and stargazing like we've never experienced!
We hated to leave, but drove down the Tin Cup way which didn't disappoint - it's the cutest little ghost town with people we've ever seen. Stopped at the Tin Cup store and Frenchy's for a shake on the patio listening to live music and watching the trout in the pond below.
I'm already planning and scheming to find a time to visit again!
The views at Anthony’s spot are amazing! We were treated to beautiful sunsets and even spotted a moose walking along the next ridge over. Great spot & definitely a hidden gem.

Anthony's spot in the mountains really capped off our last night in Colorado. We spent half our time hip camping and the other half camping in national parks. I chose Anthony's spot because i wanted to see the stars. And at over 12,000 feet above sea level thats exactly what i got. The ride was very rough bc we made the mistake to go from Tin Cup which is very questionable if you have a regular highway vehicle. We have a 2022 Tuscan and made it up fine but took us a lot longer than i expected but the views from the top were well worth it. We took the Pitkin way down and it was a lot smoother, I would recommend every day drivers to take the Pitkin way up and down especially if you have a car.

Beautiful views on top of Cumberland Pass. You cannot beat the sunrise and sunsets. Easy access to Pitkin or Tincup with significant privacy. Definitely a hidden gem. Tony was kind enough to stop by and introduce himself which was a wonderful surprise.

Tony was very hospitable and really wanted this to be a great experience to enjoy. He loves his state and wants others to enjoy just as much! Thanks for a fantastic morning view!!

The views were amazing and we were totally isolated from everyone else. It was so relaxing! Be prepared for cold nights as the site it literally at the top of the pass, but the sunsets are breathtaking!

Beautiful view from the campsite! Very windy at times. We were confused when we first got to the top of a Cumberland Pass but if you look towards the left of the sign, the two entry points of the loop make sense. We went from Tincup using the main road 765 and while it was rocky at spots, it seemed to be the smoothest route even though it took longer. Awesome camping.
