Clear creek getaway

Nice to get away with minimal camp setup. Not too far from Denver.

We stayed in camp #2. It was really adorable and had everything we needed for the night. It’s not that tall, so be aware but the deck/patio with chairs and grill is nice to sit on and relax.

We had cabins 1,2,3, and 5. They were all great and clean and #5 was super spacious for our little family. It fit a dog, a baby, and 2 adults with plenty of extra space. Having the grills and patio/seating area was such a great bonus and convenient. I would definitely recommend 4WD or AWD for the dirt road and the cabins were clearly labeled. The cabin keeps you pretty warm so no heavy sleeping bags necessary at all! Cabin #5 has a window but no mesh panel to keep bugs out so just FYI! Overall loved the stay!

Great spot with some great views! Close to Denver and really feels like you’re in the mountains without being stuck on 70 forever. Place was clean and the use of the grill was extra convenient. Steep grades to get to the spot but 4-wheel drive handled it just fine. Will be returning!

Nice, clean cabin and porta potty. Games were a nice touch. Rick was responsive and helped us get a new propane tank, when ours was low.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The road was well-maintained and the aframe was very clean. There was a very playful fox that liked to hang out every now and then, and even stole one of the cornhole bean bags.

Rick’s sites are awesome. We stayed in A-frame #1. The property was well kept. The site was functional and comfortable. Perfect for 2 to stay a night or two and relax. AWD necessary.

Five stars! Rick was so sweet and helpful! Me and my friend booked this for vacation and got an Uber out to the campsite and when we got there, realized we had forgot our gallon jugs of water in Denver! He went to the gas station and got us a whole pack of waters, ice, and a little ice chest! The views are incredible! We had a beautiful little fox that came around for a photo session, got the best view of the sunset over the valley at the top of the trail on the land, and there's even a little cave! This was really the perfect place with the A frame and little deck! Each little camp had some motion lights you can choose to turn on and a grill and a box with games in it. Definitely bring your hammock because there are a bunch of great spots to post up! Thank you for the great gettaway!

This was a great experience! I stopped here for 1 night on a road trip and the cabin was immaculate and exactly as advertised. I would recommend the St Mary's glacier hike nearby. Host was very responsive via text. Great option for outdoorsy people and those who don't want to pay hotel fees.
