About the tent:
The tent sleeps 3 people on the top level with an option to sleep an additional 3 on the bottom (though we recommend using that level for lounging and bag storage). It includes a pulley-operated rain fly and short ladder to access the tent. Amenities include a cooking area, a metal-bottom firepit, a glass roof composting outhouse & solar shower, and a dog enclosure with dog house. The tent is set on a fairly steep slope - limited flat ground!
Be prepared to drive on a short but steep dirt road up to this mountaintop gem. All cars can access the lower parking lot less than 1/2 mile from the tent. For those who are both lazy and have a 4x4 vehicle, you can park right at the bottom of a (though steep) short .1 mile walk from the tent.

Better then we could think!
We had an absolutely amazing time. We arrived later then thought but Simon made sure we felt welcomed and knew where we would be going. Once we got some day light we were able to see the amazing work he put into this place. The outhouse was gorgeous and super clean with opportunities to wash your hands at a sink attached to a tree! The tree tent was amazing don’t forget to bring a pad the wind sucks the warmth from under ya relatively quickly if you don’t have one we loved our stay and made so many memories!
We loved this campsite !
We loved camping at Simons Tree tent! It was only about an hour away from the denver area, and very easy to get to. Even our subaru crosstrek was able to get up the “4x4 only” road right up to the campsite, and both Simon and the camp co-host Kara were easy to reach and pleasant to communicate with! The short but steep hike up to the campsite is a little brutal, but as long as you’re semi-active, you’ll be fine! The tent is super cool, and i would suggest bringing extra padding to sleep on top of, as it can get uncomfortable lying on the ropes that hold the tent up. They also put together a cooking area which is super useful, including a grill, cooking utensils, pans, etc. and a washing station. They also have the outhouse, shower, and sink set up just down the hill a bit from the tent, and it was actually very clean and comfortable to use. There were gorgeous views and such thoughtful amenities, overall it was a great experience, i’d definitely stay again!
Such a fun, creative, and unique place. Amazing views! It was our first time experiencing staying in a tree tent. We arrived later than expected and only stayed one night, so we did not get to enjoy the the cute kitchen. Make sure you are physically able/prepared to hike a bit up the hill. Definitely recommend arriving to the site before dark, otherwise it is difficult to find your way around.
Bday celebration among the stars
100% recommend Tree Tent! Overall, had an incredible time and will recommend this site to others in the area.
The drive up to the upper parking lot and walk to the tent were both steep, as described by Simon, so definitely recommend arriving during the day and only bringing in what you absolutely need. Recommend bringing bug spray for when you're hanging on the lower lounge area or outside of the tent area.
We had a great time in the Tree Tent. Simon was really helpful, even giving us a drive up to the tent because there was a thunderstorm when we arrived, and we were snug and dry in the tent. Great views and location. A fun unusual experience.
Tree tent is so cool. Bonus is that you can't feel any rocks underneath the tent or uneven ground. I get the fire safety part but part of camping to me is having a camp fire. I would still come back to camp here though. Also the outhouse is dope. It doesn't smell like an outhouse. We saw a hummingbird. And there's a pretty good restaurant like 6 minutes away from the camp site. I made it up to the camp just fine with my AWD Honda pilot. You should camp here
