Pitch your tent on the flat designated spot overlooking Bailey Valley, just a short hike from the outdoor shower and Tree Tent on the property.

The site is just outside downtown Bailey, Colorado and 5 miles from Wellington Lake and Guanella Pass. Some highlights are proximity to a plethora of local hiking trails and world-class mountain biking. Visitors can also enjoy fishing, hunting, kayaking / rafting, and wildlife viewing!

Getting there:

Be prepared to drive on a short but steep dirt road up to this mountaintop gem. All cars can access the lower parking lot less than 1/2 mile from the Tree Tent. For those who are both lazy and have a 4x4 vehicle, you can park right at the bottom of a (though steep) short .1 mile walk from the tent. From there, walk down the trail towards the outdoor shower and composting toilet. The campsite is just down the trail from there.

absolutely loved the site!
great views/ good location.
4 wheel drive is a must for getting to the top lot. outhouse/ shower very well kept.
some construction going on that was loud at night but not too bad.

This space was just what we were looking for, privacy and quiet with beautiful views. We were able to bring our two dogs and they were in heaven. The outhouse and water tank available on site was great to have. Our hosts were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed! Great trails to hike and explore nearby. We would love to come back in the future!

The site for the tent is a treck to get to ... but it is worth it! For the ambiance and serenity you get at the site. Slept comfortably and small rainshowers were quite romantic.

Shower is a 5 gal bag system, you need to fill from a larger tank on site. Instructions are clear for navigating. I found it quite fun but my partner did not haha. It was a fantastic adventurous experience.

Beautiful location! Nice, large tent area with plenty of level space for our 6p tent. Outdoor bathroom is a great feature and shower easy to use. Composting toilet area cleaner than most porta pots. If you get tired of camp cooking; Mad Jacks Mtn Brewery for beers and flatbreads, Oliver’s Riverbend Bistro for riverside dinner and drinks and Knotty Pine for no fuss, good, quick lunch and ice cream. Also is a souvenir shop.
