Chilly weather and a cozy woodstove! Fall has launched and we are open through the end of November, plus special seasonal openings during the holidays. However, there is NO RUNNING WATER until next May. If you aren't an experienced dry camper, please look at reserving a spot for the summertime. Dates fill up quickly in the springtime.

So, if you missed glamping at our cabin in 2021, the calendar for 2022's summer season is now open -- at 2021 prices(!). So reserve your spot before prices go up on March 1.

This an an affordable rustic mountain "glamping" vacation with plenty of options for hiking, mountain biking & fishing! Comfy beds! Hot Showers (from June 1 to October 15). TV with DVD/CD player!

This cozy 672 sq. ft. 2-bedroom cottage (sleeps 6 -- 2 queens, 2 twins) in beautiful Jefferson, Colorado, is halfway between Bailey and Fairplay and just minutes away from fishing at Tarryall Reservoir.

A 90-minute drive from west Denver, this cute cabin is nestled on 4 private acres and is located approximately one mile from Hwy 77 and Stagestop Road in a secluded and quiet neighborhood surrounded by meadows, pine, and aspen trees. In addition, the cabin is less than 5 minutes away from national forest -- so bring your ATVs.

This private cottage, which is furnished, highlights the following:

** Sweeping views of southern and western mountain ranges including Mt. Baldy and Mt. Princeton (see photos)

** Full size refrigerator, stove/oven, auto coffee maker, toaster oven, and blender (but no microwave!)

** Blackout shades in both bedrooms

** 4 Beds -- please bring your own pillows and linens

--> Queen bed in master bedroom, including comforter

--> Queen bed (under twin bunk) and twin antique bed in guest bedroom. Note that the person/child sleeping on upper bunk should weigh no more than 110 pounds.

** Wrap-around deck with great sunset views

** 4 chairs and round iron table on deck to enjoy outdoor evenings, sunsets and sunrises! Two camp chairs can be found inside in case you have more than 4 campers.

** 2 Lounge chairs for sunbathing and relaxing

** Vintage wood stove for cozy heat (bring wood or feel free to gather dead, dry wood and sticks from property)

** Private entrance and driveway

Pricing is currently set to BRING YOUR OWN LINENS -- sheets, sleeping bags, pillows, bath and kitchen towels, but if you want us to supply linens, contact me first, as we have to follow Park County's Covid guidelines.

NOTE -- this cabin, while updated and very comfy, is "rustic" in terms that it does not have WIFI and you'll want to bring your own water to drink. Also, reliable cell phone reception is not guaranteed. Verizon seems to work fine... from the deck!

Please note that this cabin is located in the foothills and you will see wildlife activity -- mostly chipmunks. However, we have a neighborhood bear (lock your car!), lots of chipmunks, squirrels, bobcats, field mice, and sometimes a stray dog or cat. Some "glampers" are admittedly afraid of chipmunks and mice, so if you're queasy at the site of one of these little furry guys, our cabin might not be your best option. As for bears, just lock your car and keep food and trash INSIDE the cabin until you leave.

Some house rules to note before you rent: No campfires or smoking (fire danger!), no drugs, no cats. Two dogs are allowed -- but please make sure they are safe -- again, we have bears, mountain lions, and bobcats!

If star-gazing isn't your thing, bring your own DVDs to watch on the HDTV and lounge on the comfy loveseat and chairs.

The Little Red Cottage was great! Cozy, comfy and perfect deck. We were here last weekend of Sept and the aspens right off the deck were golden and gorgeous. Loved the place and the area, would definitely recommend it and will come back.

We had a great stay at the "little red cottage"! Quiet, great walks, late night star gazing and the dog was quite happy here. Would come back.

We had a glorious stay at the Little Red Cottage. It's a small jaunt off the highway, yet still within an hour of Bierstadt, Lincoln, and Sherman. Easy access to hikes along Guanella and Hoosier Pass. Had we an extra day, I would have spent it at the cottage, just hanging out! The wraparound deck, surrounded by aspens, is a huge bonus. The bed was comfy, and the kitchen well-equipped (cannot say how much I appreciated the attention to detail with kitchen extras and even a spare phone charger in the 'junk' drawer). Quiet and tranquil! Would 10/10 recommend.

Worked out nice for our family and dogs. Bring your own sheets and drinking water. The drive on Boreas Pass to Breckenridge is very doable and sedans were even doing it. Fairplay isn't too far away and the old historic downtown was a great side excursion and they allow dogs in the historic downtown. Check out the energy in the old dentist's office and the building with the table and guys sitting around it, very sad (and many other words) energy.
The only downside is there is no kitchen space to put things we brought so we had to keep stuff in totes in the kitchen. The fridge was empty which was nice and the freezer was pretty much empty too so there will be plenty of room for stuff in there.
