The host was gracious and helpful. If you have younger children, tent camping at this space might not be for you though. The trail up to the sites was quite steep and slippery and are 4-year-old had a really hard time staying safe on it. The area around the tent pad was also very steep. Other than that the property was wonderful. The kids had a great time playing in the little creek and in the open grassy area.
A Lodge was a quaint little spot. Lovely, on a creek, a nice and peaceful ambiance.
The lodge itself was pretty too.
A short drive from Boulder up the canyon.
The tent sites are up a steep trail, on platforms. We had our 2 young kids with us, so not ideal for young kids but awesome for solo camping, or couples.
Good location, not far from Boulder or Denver. Really nice trail on location that can either be a long or short hike depending on when you want to come down the mountain. Really well kept area, lots of friendly people. Would recommend if you are looking for camping that’s got some amenities to it.
Daytime = happy hike 2 campsite
Such a beautiful campsite!! (I should of realized that since the tent site was in the mountains it would be a hike / have to leave the car about a quarter mile away…and the trail leading to the tent site is not lit up / easy to do in the dark..but that was MY fault) it was so worth it once we were up to the site - very flat and and just so beautiful. Wish that A-lodge honored their own quiet hours (says it starts at 10pm, but there was a loud DJ playing his music at the office until 11) but other than that it was great
Lovely + lively
A lovely and lively spot! Tucked into the mountain this cute little spot was perfect for both tent and car camping. The bathrooms were functional. Couldn't find a place for potable water fill up but honestly it was such a cute spot to rest, have a cocktail and dip your feet in the creek. Absolutely adore it! The man at check-in was super chill and kind. Defo recommend this spot!
Very cool place. Inside of a canyon and the views are beautiful. The tent sites are just wooden platforms a little above the rest of the site. They can be a tad loud at night if your tentmate is stomping around but otherwise very convenient. The main part of the lodge (there are mostly non-tent sites there) has a multiple bathrooms, showers, indoor workspace, and a bar. So it's pretty convenient, as camping goes.
