Meadowlark Tipi

We had such a great time. It was a fun tipi camping adventure under the stars. The tipi was spacious and pristine. We had plenty of room to place an air mattress on the floor so the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids) could sleep comfortably. The ranch is beautiful. We made a few sweet four-legged friends (horses, dogs and cats). The host, Juliette made us feel very welcome and well cared for. We would definitely consider staying at the property again.

Great tipis and amenities in a convenient location, and rural, relaxing environment. Keep in kid there are 3 tipis total, so you don’t have complete privacy, but you could probably also make friends. All the directions and info was helpful and accurate. Easy to find etc.

This was my first experience using Hipcamp. Facility is exactly as described. I appreciated the wood shaving paths as well as the brick pavers in the shower area. There are hooks on the back of the door for your towel and clothes. The bathroom stall was clean and a bucket of sawdust is provided. The TeePee is spacious. We did not use the outdoor kitchen but two burners and a sink are available. There is a picnic table for each site and it is a great place to catch the evening breeze. It rained overnight and we stayed dry, but our things near the door were a bit damp. All in all - I would stay here again.

Nice property and nice clean accommodations! The solar shower was nice. Julietta seemed very nice and accommodating. Would stay again :)

We showed up & had the entire place to ourselves. Just pulled up & it was nice and easy. Teepee was clean with a fresh bed & a cute property. Would certainly recommend if passing through

Great concept, and careful attention to many thoughtful details. I think when the site matures, it will be a REALLY great camping spot. At present, it seems a bit raw and new, but if you are into a comfy bed in very primitive surroundings, you will enjoy it.

I had a great stay in the Meadowlark Tipi. The bed was very comfortable and tipi was more spacious than expected. I was impressed by how much cooler the tipi stayed despite the temperatures being in the high 90s. The outhouse was clean and solar shower always had water. Paonia is a cute town and the location is close to black canyon of the gunnison as well as other small towns. I highly recommend this place!

It was great! Julietta has a great camp just outside of Paonia, well appointed with a nearby creek and a picnic table under a shade tree. The solar showers and compostable toilet were unexpected luxuries! We were able to stay comfortable since the site had mulched paths leading to a communal fire pit; perfect to watch the bright stars. Our tipi had comfy bedding on a double mattress and a cute side table decorated with wildflowers.
There are three tipis in the field, each has enough space that they feel private, but this could be a fun site for a larger group too.

Great spot. Would definitely go back.
