Other Details and Considerations:➢ We are a family Hip Camp with children, pets (two dogs and a cat), and neighbors (about 275 feet away)➢ Road Noise -- We live close to Highway 154, which means we are close and quick to many places but also hear some traffic noise from this two-lane road. Please take this into consideration before booking. Most people aren’t too bothered by it (and some compare the sound to waves as they come and go).➢ FIRE BAN -- Absolutely no fire! We live in an extremely high-risk fire area with very dry vegetation, so no campfires, candles, smoking, incense, lighters, matches, etc. ➢ Arrival and departure -- Arrival between 5-9 pm. Departure by 2:00 pm. ➢ Quiet hours -- Very quiet from 10:30pm to 7:30am, Semi quiet in the evening from 9:00-10:30 and in the morning till 8:00 am. Thank you for your consideration of others and of our neighbors.➢ Musical instruments, or music—Live music is greatly welcomed! Playing pre-recorded music on devices is allowed if the volume is low and is used in consideration of others and during non-quiet hours.➢ Intoxicants -- Please no illegal drugs, smoking, or excessive use of alcohol. This is a sacred space.➢ Parking – We have a somewhat bumpy driveway that is quite steep with parking at the top. ➢

Great place to stay. Clean and close to both downtown and Solvang with good hikes nearby. It also had a beautiful view and you could see the stars. Overall great place to stay and we loved it!!
Domes are fun!
Thanks for a great stay! Frankly the description is perfect so all the pros and cons are easy to imagine. Yes, the tiolet is a compost bucket outside so you need to be cool with that. (I’m not sure what the garden hose mention was about— I think there’s a private outdoor shower but we didn’t use it.) I think the lower clear windows does compromise some sense of privacy, especially at night, but it allows for great light during the day. The bed is on the hard side if you’re staying multiple nights BUT do you really trust the beds and sheets at even a fancy hotel? But again this is not a hotel. You are staying in a very unique situation that feels very welcoming and has great energy. Ideally we would have spent a little more time there and if we had been traveling with food it would have been awesome to cook a breakfast there and have a lazy Dome morning to recharge.
We only stayed for a night but wished we stayed longer. We’ve always wanted to experience staying in a dome so this was definitely a fun first time. Zela and her family were nice. There’s another dome in the property, and the one we stayed at was right next to the main house, however our stay still felt very private. As far as the car noise from Hwy 154, we actually didn’t even notice it as much. You can definitely hear the cars but it’s not enough to keep you up at night or be a bother. At least it wasn’t for us. Would absolutely come back again and for a longer stay next time.
totally rad place, the whole dome had super good energy. little hot in the day but was perfect at night with the coolest lights. honestly scenic bathroom. Zela was super cool and welcoming.
Glamping in a dome
We had a amazing time in Zela's beautiful and unique dome. The interior design touches were stunning . Zela gave very detailed accurate directions and greeted us with a smile. The dome is tucked away on the mountain side so you feel very private. I especially loved all the rock formations , you could feel you were truly were on chumash Land!!
