This listing offers a 16x16 plywood, raised platform, wooden picnic table with benches, stationary umbrella, storage container, and gravel parking area. This was once a glamping site, but now we offer those at our Santa Cruz Mountains property where we live. Check out Santa Cruz's Rudy Ranch!

WHAT WE ARE:

We are a Hipcamp that caters to SELF-SUFFICIENT campers who have some experience and realize that this is a step above what camping REALLY means. ;)

If you need a camp host available at all times, this is not the Hipcamp for you, as our host lives on-site and keeps an eye on things, but is not always there.  We are a peaceful place in historic downtown Groveland to enjoy an experience in your own tent or RV under the same pines and oaks that fill Yosemite National Park that is a short walk from dining/drinking establishments and shopping. We are a place that has a super cool, vintage, outdoor kitchen with cold water, and a small propane bbq available. Campers must supply their own propane cylinders and bbq tools. We are a 3-5 minute walk from the public transit system into Yosemite. Check out YARTS dot com online for schedules.

YARTS Service Update for Spring 2022

Beginning May 9, 2022 daily service will be provided from and to Fresno (Hwy 41). On May 16, service will resume from Sonora, Jamestown, and Groveland in Tuolumne County (Hwy 120 West). Buses will be added from El Portal, Mariposa, and Merced (Hwy 140). Service from and to Mammoth Lakes will begin June 15, via Hwy 120 East and U.S. 395, assuming that Tioga Road is open. Service on all routes will continue into September and October.

For more information, please visit yarts dot com on the web.

*Please note* Passengers are required to sign a liability and personal injury forms that acknowledges risks of infection during the present pandemic, whether or not a mask is worn. These waivers are required regardless, and are intended to document that passengers are aware of the risk to personal health before riding YARTS buses.

We are nestled in the residential area above downtown Groveland and can hear live music when businesses offer it, as well as occasional events that our neighbors host. We are a 4 year old venture on a property that has been mistreated for years and we are loving it back to health on a very limited budget.

Main Street Groveland is just a quick walk down the back streets of the Gold Rush Town. Enjoy dinner and drinks at The Iron Door Saloon, self-proclaimed as the oldest continuously operating saloon this side of the Mississippi.  Enjoy the high-end Bourbon Bar and small bites at the Groveland Hotel's Provisions, espresso drinks, smoothies, and treats at Mountain Sage, or authentic Mexican food at Cocina Michiocana. We also encourage guests to take a little drive down Highway 120 to have a cold, craft beer at Around the Horn Brewery and look for our barstool! WE ARE AN AWESOME PLACE TO BE!!!

WHAT WE ARE NOT:

We are not a high-end, generously funded campground with brand new furniture, a pristine campfire ring, manicured sites, or marble showers. (Although, we are people who love to visit those places!) Please let us know you've read this far by telling us how many cigarette smokers are in your group when you send your booking request. We are not associated with Yosemite National Park and, therefore do not have up to the minute details about what they require or have going on. You can find this information on the National Parks website, nps dot gov.

WHAT WE DO KNOW ABOUT YOSEMITE FOR THE 2022 SEASON:

A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park May 20–September 30, 2022 between 6 am and 4 pm.

We are not available at all times to answer questions about each site's specifics but have taken a great deal of time putting all of the information into the platform.

We ask our campers to read up!

Free Wifi is available, but limited.

Portable toilets are serviced weekly.

Trash dumpster is available for basic trash only, no large/cardboard/packaging/destroyed tents or other large items are allowed.

There is no electricity available to campers.

Groveland's recycling program is not conducive to our property so we encourage you to take your recyclables home with you.

We had a great stay at Ferretti Farms and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. The location is great! Walkable to the shops and restaurants of Groveland and easy access to Yosemite.

First time staying at a HipCamp and it was amazing. Roni was prompt with her responses and extremely helpful. My group had a great time at Henrietta. It was clean and very very comfy. The stars at night were spectacular, the other campers were awesome, the amenities were beyond my expectations, the yurt/tent was definitely a fun, relaxing ((and VERY clean!)) hangout spot! Definitely want to stay again!

Roni is fantastic and our stay was wonderful. Quick walk into town but isolated enough that you feel secluded and part of the wilderness. Huge plus that it’s a quick trip to Yosemite as well.

The yurt was immaculate, the little string lights and picnic table were so useful and cute, this particular site was right next to the camp fire (which had wood for us to use), the bathrooms were old but also clean and they had Clorox to clean the bathroom! Kitchen area outside also was great. Would definitely come back, this place is underrated! Must add tho that it’s not in the wilderness. The campsite is about 2 minutes from town and more of a communal vibe than camping in the wilderness

Thank you for the recommendation and great review, Jacqueline! We are so glad you enjoyed our spot. While we're glad you enjoyed it, we do have a very strict fire policy and typically do not allow campers to have a fire without our camp host present as we are in an extremely high fire danger area. I'm glad it all worked out, but encourage you to double check the rules anytime you're Hipcamping. We'd be happy to host you again any time! Roni and Camp Host Tim

Loved the site. The host was great and welcoming and there was plenty of space in our campsite. The full-on "glamping tent" was MASSIVE! We rented both out and between the sites, it easily accomodated our group of 8. Also, the amenities were fantastic and readily available. I would go as far to say that the listing is actually fairly modest in describing what you actually get from the site ;-) Would definitely return. Thanks Roni and Tim!

We had a blast on Roni's property. She was so helpful answering questions during the planning process and the camp host, Tim, was a legend. The area was perfect for our crew and the facilities were better than we expected based on previous reviews. We hope to return soon!
