The Giuseppe site is a level spot across from Ferretti Farm's cottage; tucked into the hillside and surrounded by trees.

Reservations are required to drive into Yosemite through September 30, 2021. Some services and facilities are limited, and shuttles are not operating.

Ferretti Farm is a lovely place to relax under the same trees and stars that are found in Yosemite National Park that is nestled in downtown Groveland. The park entrance is just 26 miles away!

We are a Hipcamp that caters to SELF-SUFFICIENT campers who have experience and realize that this is a step above what camping REALLY means. If you need a camp host available at all times, this is not the Hipcamp for you, as our host lives on-site and keeps things clean and functioning, but is not always there. We are a Hipcamp that offers our guests a clean, hot shower and two indoor toilets. Pretty rad, right?! We are people who are utilizing a very old, funky mobile home to make some money and pay off our land while living in the shabby chic cottage on site. We are a peaceful place in historic downtown Groveland to enjoy a glamping experience in one of our beautiful, canvas tents,  our fully equipped 18 foot RV,  in your own tent, in our cozy bedroom in the mobile, or in your RV under the same pines and oaks that fill Yosemite National Park. We are a new venture on a property that has been mistreated for years and we are loving it back to health on a very limited budget. We are a place that has a super cool, vintage, outdoor kitchen with hot water & cold water, a 1950 Wedgewood gas range with four burners, a bar with 4 stools and an umbrella, and a small propane bbq.

We are a 3-5 minute walk from the public transit system into Yosemite. Check out YARTS dot com online for schedules. WE ARE AN AWESOME PLACE TO BE!!!

We are not a high-end, generously funded campground with brand new furniture, a pristine campfire ring, manicured sites, and marble showers. (Although, we are people who love to visit those places!) Please let me know you've read this far by telling me how many smokers are in your group when you send your booking request. We are not associated with Yosemite National Park and, therefore do not have up to the minute details about what they require or have going on. You can find this information on the National Parks website. We are not available at all times to answer questions about each site's specifics but have taken a great deal of time putting all of the information into the platform.

We ask our campers to read up! Thanks, and hope to host you soon!

Communication with Roni Lynn was great, the proximity to Yosemite NP was great, there is a functioning toilet, and the hipcamp has incredible potential.
Sadly it stays at that. While we are self-sufficient campers and we knew the camp is being fixed up, there were multiple things that really put us off.
We spent three nights here, and in that time never saw anybody, even though there is supposedly a camp host there, (their dogs were going crazy in a small trailer the whole three days though). The communal outdoor kitchen seems to never have been cleaned in the last few weeks, the trash was overflowing, there was dog poop strewn over seemingly all sites, the communal table and other parts of the exterior furniture are falling apart, and there are no tables at the individual sites.
And then we get to the trailer home that houses the bathrooms. While the entrance is cute-ish, the whole thing is literally falling apart and would be a great location for a scary movie. The one room next to the entrance is filled with rubbish, and the bathroom, while functioning, hasn‘t been cleaned in quite a while. As the shower was quite gnarly and the hot water came out brownish, we decided not to use it, which made for a long 4 days.
I don‘t intend to be mean towards the hosts with this review, just trying to put it out there as we experienced the stay.

Perfect spot to park a camper van between trips to Yosemite. The bathroom was clean (has a shower too!), the outdoor kitchen super convenient. This particular spot (site #1) even has a small private trail where my little campers could ‘hike’ every morning. Roni Lynn was super helpful in getting us booked.

I had a good night sleep here which means the world to me, but I was alone on the property aside from the residents. My spot was the only tent camping spot I would recommend (guieseppe). The others were very exposed to the general shared spaces on the property (road, outdoor kitchen etc) and would provide no privacy. It definitely looks like you are staying in a trailer park but pretty tidy around the property. The outdoor kitchen did not have hot water in the sink as described in the listing, but I love that old gas stove. There was a picnic table next to kitchen (kind of broken in places) and a bar with chairs (chairs were duct taped together). The bathroom was not cleaned but not horrible. It was in an old trailer and I never did see the second toilet. I think it would be hard to share all these common spaces with many other campers staying, especially during Covid. The canvas tent structures looked very nice from the outside and their settings were much more private. The location was excellent; very close to town if you wanted to stroll there. If you need just one night to crash and then head to the national park, this place works.

GIUSEPPE was the perfect place to pull in with our campervan. Shady, private and a great place to post up on the way out of Yosemite. Roni was very responsive and a great host. Would absolutely recommend.

1 Giuseppe is a nice, last minute solution to camping near Yosemite. We were delighted to get a half dome permit by lottery and made a last minute trip to Yosemite over the weekend. Camp spots are hard to come by last minute and 1 Giuseppe was a available. The site was exactly as described. It was private enough, just down off the main road. It was a flat space with trees around it. The grounds and outdoor kitchen are nice. The bathroom is in an old mobile home. It is usable. The location was very convenient and though you do hear noise from town, it was live jazz music so we enjoyed it!

Not fancy but a sweet spot nestled in the woods within walking distance of the charming town of Groveland. Perks include an indoor bathroom, community kitchen, and shaded sites. The host was very accommodating and helpful!

Campsite was as advertised however, there was loud music until past 9:30pm coming from town on a Saturday evening. After a long day of hiking not sure if I’d suggest staying here.

I stayed at Ferretti farm last summer and for my second stay I was pleased to discover Roni had made improvements to the campgrounds. The kitchen was built out, there were additional trash cans, and the mobile interior had been spruced up.

The Giuseppe campsite was well maintained with level ground, dirt soft enough for stakes, and no sharp rocks. The location is tucked away from the center of the campgrounds so human noise is minimal. There is a small stream frequented by Grouse nearby, however, so be prepared to wake up to their cooing in the morning.

Overall I had another great experience and would recommend Ferretti Farm to anyone who can't find a campsite in Yosemite or just looking for more amenities than your typical campground can provide.

This place was a perfect landing spot for us and our camper van after spending the days exploring Yosemite. It was a super short walk to grab a bite or a drink - which was convenient! Thanks for having us!
