Come camp at our family-run river rafting company basecamp. We have been in operation for 50 years as a rafting business and we are excited to share the Tuolumne River Canyon views with you during your stay!

We are located 15 minutes' driving distance from the entrance to Yosemite National Park (note that after September 30th you do not need a reservation to get into Yosemite, you can go right in) and 15 minutes driving to the historic town of Groveland. Our campsites offer sweeping views of 4 waterfalls, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, three different river canyons, and a classic Sierra Nevada foothills ecosystem.

Bring your own tent and camping gear, or rent camping gear from us. You are also welcome to camp in your van or car - you can park right at the campsite. We offer a bathhouse just a 2-minute walk from your campsite with flushing toilets, showers with hot water, a water refill station, and wi-fi near the building. Enjoy our lawn games outside of the bathhouse - corn hole, ladder golf, pickle ball, and bocce ball are all available for you and your group!

We are less than 5 minutes away from Rainbow Pools, a local swimming hole, and 5 minutes away from the Lucky Buck, a tasty diner. We are more than happy to give you suggestions on places to explore around Yosemite, Stanislaus National Forest, and Groveland.

We have a puppy named Nala who you might see running around and we can be around as much or as little as you'd like! This is a perfect spot for you if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful spot with views just at the doorstep to Yosemite.

The camp site was wonderful, the sweeping views are great. We had the place to ourselves and the hot showers were so nice after a few days on the road.
I would recommend this hip camp site couples traveling with pets or kids.

What a great site! Very private but super supported. The views were incredible - all sky and stars (and waterfalls)! Arms reach from the valley.
Thanks for the great stay!

Beautiful location perched on a ridge with dramatic views. Facilities were very good with clean toilet, shower and fresh water. Liza also gave us a great local recommendation for walking our dogs nearby as we didn’t have much time.

Liza was super informative, helpful, and quick to respond as soon as we booked. The camp site was in a great location and the directions she gave us were very easy to follow. There were flushable toilets, hot showers, and clean bathroom spaces which is definitely important to me!

In addition to keeping everything tidy, Liza was super helpful and when we told her we were looking for a doggy day care for a few hours, she offered the help that we needed. We really appreciated this extra help and she was so quick to respond to all messages.

She has both a propane fire pit and wood fire pit. Last but not least, she was very kind and hospitable! I definitely recommend staying here.

Fabulous! Loved the privacy, but close enough to main building and showers where I felt save traveling as a solo female with my dog. Big valley and could hear the nearby waterfall rushing at night. Liza is friendly and accommodating. Easy access to Yosemite. Will return!
