The Bring Your Own Tent sites are in a separate area from the RV camping sites, beginning at the horse stable barn.  There are other sites rented under the RV  listing on the 3 1/2 acre property, and are as seen in the pictures. B.Y.O.T. #4 can be used by RV/camper/camper vans as well, as it is a pull thru site. We are in a 10+ year drought, so this land consists of dirt and dehydrated vegetation.  There are no trees for shade here so bring your own canopy or sun shade.  You will be sharing the two outdoor showers (cold water shower head/and solar shower bags), a cold water only sink, and two portable bathrooms with other campers.

You will have access to a small personal grill so please bring your own bundled wood and cooking equipment.

My ranch is centrally located on the Cali Coast, half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco, making it the perfect stopover when traveling.  The property is a quick 2 miles off the 101, at an exit with all the stores/amenities you need for your camping experience.  I am located where several wine trails begin and a famous cycling route that will wrap you through Foxen Canyon down into Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and Los Alamos to tasting rooms and some intimate cafes.  Going North of Santa Maria you have hiking, beaches, sand dunes, more wineries, bike trails, hot springs, and my all time favorite Thursday night Farmers Market in SLO.  Madonna Inn is a one of kind must-see iconic pop culture throw back hotel/restaurant/bakery--a fun dessert and coffee stop after the farmers market where you can check out every nook and cranny (especially both downstairs bathrooms).  In Pismo Beach you will find the Triple D famed Splash Café which has great seafood and divine clam chowder bread bowls.  Just around the corner are the biggest, gooiest, yummiest cinnamon rolls at Old West Bakery (one will feed 4+).   Both are so worth the lines and you will have to get there early before they sell out (Maple Bacon)--no guilt there if you hike Madonna Hill or Montana De Oro first!

When you are done checking out all the cool places on the Central Coast you will come back to a beautiful sunset, sky full of stars and a bonfire.  Please bring your own camping chairs, blankets/throws, and canopies.

In following Health Officer Order No. 2020-12.5 for Santa Barbara County, effective date July 14, 2020, 5:00 p.m., for opening of campgrounds protocol,  I have hand sanitizer at the outdoor sink in the communal area.

Meredith was extremely nice. The site was convenient and easy to navigate. No frills, but perfect both for what I needed and as advertised. It is near several farms, which on this night had tractors working late, both loud and bright, but seemed to stop at a reasonable hour. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot! When we couldn't find a campground that wasn't completely full, we were so glad to find this place so we didn't have to pay $200-300 for a hotel room. We had a lovely fire in the firepit and enjoyed the views. The grounds were clean and thoughtfully laid out and we really appreciated the outdoor showers.

Welcoming place with other travelers around. The campsite had a fire pit, table, chairs and a bench. It also had some protection from the wind, which we really appreciated.
The place is a bit hard to find because it’s in farmland and has no signage on the street. So, Meredith was very helpful with the meticulous directions, just follow them and you will get there. (I’d advise to drive there before sunset.)
She also offered some delicious tomatoes and cucumber that she produces to us.
The place is equipped with portable toilets and has 2 showers that are not heated. It also has sink and some tables on the common area.
Overall it was a great experience!

Meredith's ranch was a fun stay! The tent sites are cool and quirky, loved the sitting areas provided by each space. This is not your average camping site. It is on a farm and the tent sites are converted horse stalls... but that's what we loved about it. Shower area is a huge plus. Highly recommend if you want a different experience.
