Jeannette’s bunk bed cabins are amazing. And she’s a great host. She happily addressed a few extra requests we had. We would love to go back there next year.
Had fun and no issues whatsoever.
5 * stars.!! Hidden Gem. 1st time using Hip Camp and because of our accommodations, a very large, clean, bunk house with bunk beds, electricity and water, the great outdoor activities they provide (we went horseback riding and enjoyed Manzanita Lake and rope swing) I cannot describe how extremely relaxing, amazing, friendly, but most of all JEANETTE OUR HOST HAS EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY IN HER BLOOD...!!
There were 9 of us women, who camp somewhere different every year and enjoy new adventures. This year, we decided to try HIP CAMP to find the place for our next adventure. We can be a difficult group to please, since each one of us have a specific criteria or deal breaker when looking for campsites. RACCOON BUNK was AMAZING and NOT 1 OF US HAD A COMPLAINT.!! WE CANT THANK JEANETTE ENOUGH!! WHERE TO START...?
* CLEAN BATHROOMS WITH FLUSHING PORCELIN TOILETS AND HOT SHOWERS W/MIRRORS.
* HUGE FIREPIT AND SHE BROUGHT US WOOD!!
* PRIVATE LAKE W/ROPE SWING
* KAYAKS, CANOE, PADDLE BOATS
* HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDES WORTH EVERY PENNY ($35/HR)
* JEANETTE GAVE US A SMALL TOUR & EXPLAINED THE HISTORY OF THE PROPERTY,
SHE WAS FRIENDLY, OPEN, ACCOMMODATING, AND VERY SWEET.
I AM ALREADY PLANNING A RETURN TRIP WITH MY FAMILY AS I AM CERTAIN THEY WILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DID!!
THANKS TO HIPCAMP AND JEANETTE COR MAKING WOMAN CAMP 2019 THE BEST ADVENTURE EVER!!!!!!😁
What a great getaway! Our host Jeanette was incredibly gracious and accomodating for our group. Super friendly, she made us feel spoiled! The grounds were pretty (classic California foothills) and well kept. The lake was gorgeous, a small cool oasis, a bit of a walk if you are used to camping on the water, but worth it, so private. Great rope swing and fun kayaks too! Our host arranged a horseback ride through the camp for all 8 of our rookie riders, great times! If you are looking to "glamp" this may not be for you, but if you are looking for easy camping, come on down! The bunkhouse caught the great breeze and was spacious ( we had 9 adults) super clean and even storage areas! Surprised the beds were comfy for bunkbeds. Light and electricity to boot. Great fun sleeping summercamp style with my friends. We loved the community fire pit!!! Bathrooms were clean, with outlets and mirrors. Not glamping, but sure camping made easy. We will be back with a larger group and looking forward to it!

Sandra, I am extremely Happy you found us on Hipcamp! A vibrant fun group. It was definitely a pleasure to have you stay and look forward to future visits and many more camping adventures for you here.
This place was amazing!!! The best place I’ve camped at in California! Close to Yosemite and has a Great Lake to swim and fish in. The views are to die for!
