This place is amazing - better than advertised. I just wish they were staying open so we could come back.

Beautiful and unique camping experience. Easy communication with Montrese and a wonderful experience all around. Would definitely come back! A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

The yurt, kitchen, wind protected area were all as described, only better. The view of the ocean is indescribable, the quiet, and expanse restorative. We bought the full monty for a 3 night stay and had more than enough fuel for heat, light, and cooking. We found the mattresses in the yurt extremely comfortable. It was perfect to quench our thirst for something rustic without having to do much work for it. We loved exploring Santa Cruz, kayaking Elk Horn Slough, and watching the elephant seals at Ano Nuevo all within an easy drive. The thoughtful touches such as dishes and pots made it easier to whip together a tasty meal after a ling day of exploring. We’d like to second the importance of taking seriously the risk of Lyme any time you are in nature (even the beaches) of North California, as the risk is real though rare, and very easily prevented with some insect repellent. We are only a family of four but would definitely recommend the large yurt especially if you have a larger group as it would present a high value for an uncompromising experience.

This was our second trip to the BIG OM OCEAN RETREAT and it was just as special as we remembered it. Gorgeous nature, comfy dome for a giant sleep over and super responsive hosts. I love this place and would gladly stay again!!

I am already missing the Big OM retreat. It was everything I hoped for and more. The ranch is beautiful and my dog and I enjoyed walking around the property and exploring. Shower was HOT and bed was comfy! Thank you! Will be coming back :)

Wild Tender Ranch and Big Om Dome is a wonderful, fantasy place. Everything about it is healing, beautiful, dramatic, romantic, FRESH-CLEAN AIR…ocean views…not enough superlatives to adequately describe.

No. Wait. I meant to say it’s a terrible place and the hosts are mean. It’s already too popular and difficult to book.

Ps. Bring your drums, voices and instruments. The acoustic inside the dome are incredible.

Magical, serene, calming are a few words that come to mind when thinking of the Big Om. Horses grazing the fields with sounds of the ocean set a beautiful scene for our trip. Our group of 6 fit comfortably in the dome with a few options to keep warm we never got cold. The kitchen was well stocked and the area with the fire pit and tables was great for gathering. The clean bathroom with shower was an added bonus. Montrese was very communicative and gave detailed instructions and information about the property. Looking forward to staying there again!

My family and I stayed in The Big OM and had a blast. The host's were attentive if we needed anything, and we loved the horses running freely on the property. The OM was extremely spacious and we had plenty of space to spread out. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful vacation!
