The Wildflower Cabin is a gorgeous architectural marvel that has a magical ambiance. Massive 18-inch cedar timbers were plucked from the British Columbia mountain forest, hand-carved with distinct artistry, and delivered to the Whitewater Canyon 5-acre property.

The vision to build an open-concept A-frame with loft in the middle of a desert began to take shape. This unique and authentic log cabin is flooded with natural light, good vibes, and a warm, welcoming personality.

Imagine waking up from a peaceful sleep to the stunning views and rays of sunlight hitting the San Jacinto Peak. Wander downstairs, brew up some coffee, and head out to the deck. Inhale a deep breath of clean mountain air, listen to the cheerful morning birds, and contemplate how you will seize the day.

The cabin has fresh, modern décor, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches. One highlight feature is the clawfoot tub where you can draw a deep well water bath, sink in, and restore.

There is an abundance of hiking trails in the area. You can step outside the front door and follow the sound of flowing water to the river at the base of the canyon 100 feet below. Venture to Whitewater Preserve, 3000 acres of parkland just 1 1⁄2 miles down the road. Take a relaxing walk, and maybe even a refreshing plunge into one of the oasis pools. For a full-day adventure, the famed Joshua Tree National Park is only 45 minutes away. Springtime wildflower hikes throughout the area are spectacular.

Spin some vinyl on the vintage record player while you cook up a storm in the well-stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances. If you would rather eat out, Palm Springs' best restaurants are just 15 minutes away. For shoppers, Grand Cabazon Outlets are nearby as well.

After dinner, catch the speculator sunset, wind down in the hot tub, or have S' mores for dessert by the firepit. Stargazers will love the dark skies and be able to spot every constellation.

This experience is ideal for couples seeking restful relaxation away from the city's hustle and bustle. Maybe you are looking for a private, romantic adventure to celebrate a honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday? Are you drawn to a quiet retreat for yoga and meditation, or inspiration to focus on writing that screenplay? Perhaps you want a secluded, adventurous escape to unplug and feel grounded by the tranquility and beauty of nature.

Put Wildflower Cabin at the top of your bucket list and create memories that will last a lifetime!

VERY STRONG WINDS

It gets very windy in our area at times which may limit your enjoyment of the outdoor amenities we have added. (The fence we have added for privacy has been knocked down by the winds before and our outdoor wooden furniture are flipped over often — just to give you an understanding.) We do all we can to navigate around the winds but cannot control the impact it may have on your stay.

POWER OUTAGES

The power is cut off for 8-12 hours at least twice a year by the electrical company in order for maintenance to be done (for instance in preparation for the fire seasons). We inform our guests of outages as soon as we are made aware but cannot control the time or manner in which this may impact your stay.

REFUNDS

Should any inconveniences such as those listed above or anything else beyond our control affect your stay, we will not provide refunds. Please understand certain things simply come with the windy, rural, desert location. Thank you for understanding!

The cabin was in a beautiful secluded location, and minutes away from some great hiking at the Whitewater Preserve. The cabin had a great kitchen and nice living room. The bedroom was very luxurious for such a small space with a big comfy bed. Overall great place to stay for a getaway near Palm Springs.

The Wildflower Cabin is INCREDIBLE! This spot has everything you could possibly want or need, not to mention the fact that it's so private and secluded.

The pool and hot tub are highlights—it was so dreamy to take a dip surrounded by desert with the wind turbines way off in the distance. Plus, the cabin itself is gorgeous with super beautiful craftsmanship, thoughtful details, and views out of every window.

The amenities are also top-notch: snacks, coffee, games, essential oils, bath bombs for the clawfoot tub, robes, pool towels...even if you forget a toothbrush or a razor, extras are stocked. The Hosts have thought of absolutely everything and were incredibly communicative with tons of helpful info. I can't recommend this spot enough—if you're wondering if it's worth it, it is!
