A short walk leads to our newest campsite overlooking the sweet and serene Wolf Creek. Follow the signs down the path to your own secluded accommodations: total privacy, gorgeous views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and a cozy creekside bed that feel like a world away!

This is socially distanced 'glamping' at it's finest! The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp is totally secluded on our family's private 50 acres, and once you arrive you'll have everything you need!  This canvas 'glamping' tent offers one full-sized bed with bedding, and an indoor fireplace for cozy evenings. Dogs and children welcome!

Not sure your plans? We get it! If you need to cancel your reservation, we allow✨no-fee✨re-booking, with no time limit.  You can view more photos and adventures on Facebook and Instagram at @WildPlumas.

Activities in the area: Fishing or boating at nearby Lake Almanor, or Round Valley Lake, is always popular. We also highly recommend a visit to Mount Lassen National Park (one hour). Drakesbad hot springs is also top on the to-do list!

If you have any questions about other nearby activities, feel free to reach out to us! Otherwise, many of our campers enjoy the simple things- a lawn chair with a good book in the creek, or watching the kids make little pots out of the clay in the pond. Safety first, but we always encourage adventure, playing in the mud, and free range children. The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp may not have wifi, and we promise you will never be bored!

Are extra people ok, and is there a charge?  Yes that's fine. For pricing, please substitute 'tents' for 'people' in the additions as HipCamp does not have the option to add extra tents at this time. The cost is $10 per tent. (Note: children do not count in your group total so there is never an extra charge for kiddos...) Any questions, just message me, we can work it out when you get here.

Is there an extra cost for animals or vehicles? Nope

How far is the campsite from parking? About 500 feet. We provide you with a wagon to haul your clothing and food. You may also park at the beach near the campsite, but the last 500' is very rough and it is not recommended.

How many people can the tent sleep? Two comfortably, plus four on the floor.

Is there room for extra tents? Yes! Plenty.

Are large school groups permitted? For sure! We have hosted up to 50! Just message us for group ideas. We can even offer guided tours of the property and use of the climbing wall.

How do I store food? Storing food in ice chests is fine, although preferred would be in your car. We do not offer bear boxes, but also have not had any reports of critters or bears getting into food (yet). Bears here do not try and get into cars.

Do I need to worry about bears in the tent? Nope :)  If you have any fears, simply place the solar lamp in the door way, it will scare them. Bears here are frightened of people, lights, and noises.

Any other questions or concerns we are just a message away! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you this summer.

Absolutely loved this location! Private and clean, our family will be returning very soon. The bluff camping has steep stairs so if you are older I would recommend camping on the beach, but it’s all amazing!

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend here! Josie and her family welcomed us and had such a nice set up for us with picnic table, hammock, and area to place cooking stove and food. The camping area was private, beautiful, and we had a great time hanging out by the river.

Staying at Wolf Creek Camp was honestly and truely better than any expectation that I had. Josie and her family were so helpful and readily willing to answer any questions that we had, I sincerely doubt we could have had a better host. As for the campsite itself it was absolutely gorgeous, and the location was perfect. It felt nice and secluded yet not too far away from civilization, we had even made a few trips into the town of Greenville for a couple supplies from time to time. The access to the creek from the campsite was very easy to use, and the walk from the camp to the onsite porta-potty was very camper friendly and not too far away, which is what I personally prefer. All things being said I could not recommend Josie's campsite higher for anyone looking for a nice, peaceful and very camper friendly place to go and get away.

Really convenient to have all the amenities available to us. Very private and lots of room for all 6 of us. Site is up a sandy, steep hill and swimming hole is down the creek. Porto potty is far from the campsite. Really beautiful drive up. The propane and water being provided was a plus.

This was my family's first Hipcamp experience and it was excellent! It ended up raining immediately after we arrived, for about 3 hours, so our two-day stay felt like only one day. But even with the rain it was still a lovely spot. The site is up a small hill above the creek. Along with the canvas tent, a picnic table, charcoal BBQ, fire-pit with propane, kitchen-prep table, a full water jug, camp chairs, hammock, and swing were provided! As much as I love a wood-burning campfire, being able to turn the propane fire on and off so easily was super convenient. The campsite is surrounded by shade trees so it never felt too hot if you were in the shade. It is a large space that could fit 1-2 more tents if needed.
On our second day we explored the creek below until we found the swimming pole. There were some toys left at the swimming hole (belonging to the host's kids, I assume) and my four-year old was SO HAPPY. I think that was his favorite part of our stay. I'd say my husband's favorite part was drinking a beer and cooling off in the swimming hole. The water felt cold at first, but then the perfect temperature once you got used to it.
My favorite part was the quiet, and the green scenery. The view from the campsite and down below alongside the creek was so beautiful and peaceful. If there were campers at the other location we never saw or heard them. We did get startled by the sound of something large moving in the bushes nearby, and my husband looked down and saw what we assumed were the owner's two dogs running past the creek. I was sad I didn't get to say hello to them!
Because of the rain killing one of our days, we had planned on checking out the recommended lake hikes after we had packed up and left. But then we had car trouble and decided to head home to avoid getting stranded. But even without leaving the property, we had an awesome time! We can't wait to come back and try out the other site with the treehouse and zipline.
1. Unless you have a truck or raised vehicle able to handle huge bumps and rocks, don't drive down the hill to the campsite. Park at the porta-potty and use the provided wagon to haul your stuff down. The host will tell you this, you should listen. We did not listen and learned the hard way.
2. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. There was a train in the area that seemed to loudly go on forever.
3. If you have water shoes, bring them. The rocks along the creek to the swimming hole are painful. My flip-flops made it harder to walk. My husband and son were perfectly fine walking in flip-flops and barefoot barefoot though.

Wolf Creek Camp is a little piece of heaven. I almost don’t want to review it because I want to keep this location a secret and all to myself. The tent is spacious and the host as put down nice heavy duty carpet making the tent even more glamorous. There is a very comfortable bed and couch in the tent. The host provides a cute little table set up perfect for your portable stove to sit on as well as hang some pots and pans. There is a picnic bench as well. We brought an extra small table which worked out nice for we placed it next to her cooking set up. The host also provides a propane fireplace (a godsend on those cold mornings), a few chairs, a hammock, a swing chair and a gorgeous wood rocking bench that overlooks the river. The host also provided potable water, propane, some bug spray, tin foil and a magazine of what to do in the area. We were not expecting much so we were blown away about the cleanness and up keep of the camp. As well as all the extra chairs and places to sit and enjoy camp. The view made it even better. This camp sits right along the wolf creek and it’s just picturesque especially since we went in the middle of fall and all the oaks and aspens had turned. So the River was lined with yellows and oranges. The only complaint is if you are a light sleeper, the train will wake you, but don’t worry, it only blows it’s horn for a little bit and then you can go right back to sleep.

The sunsets were gorgeous Sharkbait enjoying Wolf Creek The tent and kitchen set upThose fall colors
