The Lost Sierra Oasis is perfect for large groups, or those wanting an easy-to-access pull-up site with beautiful views. The Lost Sierra Oasis consists of a large canvas wall tent with a comfortable queen-sized bed, plus plenty of flat grassy space outside for additional tents. Surrounded by large cottonwood trees, you'll feel like you're in your own park!

The Lost Sierra site offers a picnic table, a private hot outdoor shower, and plenty of shade to relax in the hammocks. The camp is totally private and located in the middle of our family's 50-acre property, just a two-minute walk from the property creek and swimming holes. Stick around during the daytime to enjoy the onsite hiking trails, free loaner bikes, treehouse, zip line, and kid's ninja warrior course, or head to nearby Mount Lassen National Park (one hour) or to the many nearby lakes, rivers, or State Parks. Pets and children are always welcome!

Your reservation includes four people and one car (there is no charge for children). Additional people can be added for $10 per night.

Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away)- we thank you for your patience, and especially for your ongoing support!

Important rules:

1.) Please arrive by 9 p.m- our roads are not lit and a pre-dark ensures you will safely find your site (and not disturb others)

2.) Leave your generators and drones at home

3.) No smoking or wood fires allowed anywhere on the property

4.) Make sure ALL adults and dogs in your group are registered with Hipcamp so they fall under their insurance policy.

FAQ's:

Was Wild Plumas affected by the Dixie Fire? Yes and no. Our property was not affected, but the nearby town of Greenville was. The grocery store still stands but the rest of town is mostly gone. There is a lot of destruction and cleanup, but no safety concerns for our guests (ask us how to find the beautiful murals painted on many of the buildings!) Thank you for supporting the businesses that survived!

Are extra people ok, and is there a charge?  Four adults are included in your reservation, and there is no charge for any number of children. Additional adults are $10/night, just add them in the checkout process.  Any questions, just message me, we can work it out when you get here.

Check-in and check-out times: Are 3:00 pm and 10:00 am. Thank you for checking out promptly. We are booked back to back and it does take a few hours to clean the sites.

Is there an extra cost for animals or vehicles? There is a $20 pet fee for EACH dog ($20 per pet, regardless of days). We love your dogs and encourage you to bring them, but it does create considerable extra work for us in order to make sure the next guest has a pet-free experience. You can add this fee in the 'add-on' section at check out.

How far are the swimming holes from the tent? About a 5-minute walk.

How many people can the camp sleep? Two in the bed, and comfortably two more on the floor.  There is plenty of room for additional tents.

Are large groups permitted? For sure! Just message us for group ideas.

How do I store food? In your car only.

Do I need to worry about bears? You should always be cautious of bears, and do not invite them by leaving food outside of your vehicle. We have never had a violent incident with a bear, but they may take advantage of trash or food left outside.

Any other questions or concerns we are just a message away! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you this summer.

You can tell a lot of love has gone into making this place magical. From the handmade wood details to the loaner bikes and hand painted sign with cookies to greet us. How can you not love this place!?

We loved the big canvas tent and the quiet. We could hear crickets and frogs chirping all night. The kids loved having a place to hang in the teepee and the tree house. My son loved exploring the creek. It’s beautiful out there, and we definitely want to go back.

Josie was easy to work with and provided great suggestions for our trip. This was our first time "glamping" and we all loved the experience.
Will hopefully be back for another stay in the future.

Such a beautiful getaway with mini adventures around every bend! The Lost Sierra Oasis campsite was super spacious, and the huge canvas tent provided such a comfortable space to retreat to. All the included amenities were very much appreciated too - plenty of water, hot shower, porta potty close by, hammock we couldn’t get the kids out of, picnic table with table cloth, bbq, propane fire pit that was perfect for s’mores, and wheel barrow to cart around your stuff.

There were so many fun things to do on the property as well. Playing in the creek was a blast with the kids. The treehouse, zip line, and tipi kept the whole family entertained for quite some time. Josie and her family even invited the kids to paint rocks one evening. We spent a little too much time at the creek and missed it, but it was an incredibly kind offer.

On top of it all, we saw so many amazing things just walking around - a family of deer that almost come right up to you, quail running around, even a little lobster in the creek.

And if you forget anything or need to get ice during your stay, the Evergreen Market in town has everything. It’s only a 4 minute drive, and the people you’ll run into are all super friendly and helpful.

The land is just stunning and so peaceful. They have created lots of well kept places to spend time especially for kids. Everything is well maintaining and clean. I would definitely recommend coming to this little slice of paradise.

We wanted to try a hipcamp to get away from crowded campgrounds and this place was fantastic! It had all the amenities needed (water, BBQ, propane fire pit). The land is beautiful and there are so many outdoor acticities near by. And our dogs LOVED it here.

Room for our trailer too
