It’s a big field. Don’t rely on the bathroom or shower, pack in your water and pack out trash. Great location by Bishop. Lots of dog, farm animal, frog noise.

Nothing fancy here, just an open field. No shade, so bring your own. It was pretty noisy at night, se we were challenged with getting a good night of sleep. The price was a bit steep for what we experienced, but being Memoirial weekend, it was what was available. The farm animals are fun to watch through the fence. Gabe was friendly and helpful. The night stars, fire pit, and distant drumming of the Paiute people were magical.

We were going to be arriving after 10pm, but Gabe messaged back that it wasn't a problem... Just look for the campfire. We arrived to a roaring fire and a gracious host. Given campground closures, we needed a place to park a travel trailer and Gabe's grassy field fit the bill. He hooked up 100+ feet of hose ( about 11pm at this point) to fill our water tank, turned on some work lights for illumination, and let us get settled. When he describes it as a grassy field, that's exactly what it is. No hassles and a wonderful spot just outside the town center.

We didn't hear from our host after booking and they weren't home when we arrived, but it was easy to pull up on the property and get set up. The site itself is exactly as described - a large, grassy field in front of their house that provided a good amount of quiet and privacy. We really liked the location and the town of Bishop itself so we ended up booking a second night. This is a great spot in a great little slice of California!

Gabe and his family are so nice and helpful. They provide tables, chairs, campfire wood, toilet and water. The lawn is flat and very good for camping. We enjoyed a wonderful night.

Highly recommend if you’re in the Bishop area! The campsite is right in the middle of town (6 mins it’s away from Erik Schat’s Bakery), and hosts are super communicative. I would definitely come here again if I was in the area.
