Come pitch a tent or park your RV/camper van/small trailer on our flat, spacious, 1-acre, front yard under the branches of an expansive beautiful Buckeye Tree and a seasonal creek. At night the "magical" tree is lit with hanging solar-lit mason jars and you can sit and relax in our Adirondack chairs around our propane campfire. Will will provide electric hook-up (via an extension cord), water (via a garden hose), and a picnic table. If you are not in a self-contained van, we can provide a portable camping toilet with a privacy tent. We are a family of four who live in a small house on the property and we are happy to orient you and help you get settled.
Guests can enjoy lawn games such as boccie ball or corn-hole as well as a full-size trampoline. We also have additional "add-ons" where we can rent items such as bikes, an inflatable 3-person kayak, and an inflatable stand-up paddle board (SUP).
We are three miles from Samuel P. Taylor State Park, natural pools at the Inkwells, and miles of hiking. Our property is about 45 minutes from Marin County beaches (Stinson, Bolinas, Limantour), Tomales Bay, Hog Island Oysters, and Pt. Reyes National Seashore. In the opposite direction, we are three miles from Roy's Redwoods and seven miles from Nicasio Valley Cheese Company (plus a seasonal pumpkin patch).
This is an awesome location for relaxing on site or for being a hub for various day-trips in West Marin. Other local amenities include a coffee shop (w/a nice bathroom, 1-mile down the road), a market/deli/burrito shop, a farm stand with local produce, and an amazing Indian restaurant all within 2-miles from the site.
A well-behaved dog can stay as well but can not be left unattended. We have a friendly Mini-Golden Retriever that likes to greet everyone. Please note that while West Marin is mostly rural where many homes sit on large acres of land, we are still in a quite neighborhood setting. No loud parties, no smoking, no loud voices after 9:00 PM.

I loved it here so much. A lovely space with very kind hosts who provided wonderful amenities that we were expecting. Very close to a state park and recreation areas for hiking and lovely cute towns for shopping and eating. Will be back again...and I have already recommended to friends
Wonderful hosts enchanting campsite
Jenelle and Amy’s place was wonderful. We went during a heat wave and it was hot during the day, but we drove to Bolinas and Stinson Beach to cool down. It’s a beautiful 1/2 hour drive to the coast. Lagunitas cooled down nicely in the evening and the beautiful trees and lighting on the campsite is enchanting. We will be back.
It´s been great at fairies tree. A welcome place for nature lovers, dogs and kids. Cute Espresso Bar is nearby. Fairies is perfectly located for daytrips with various options e.g. Ocean, Cities, Forests.
Great first time hipcamp experience
This was our first time using Hipcamp and we loved it. The place was as good as advertised. The space was perfect, the lights were magical, and the location was excellent. Amy and Janelle were fantastic hosts. The amenities provided such as camp toilet, electricity, water and fire pit augmented our experience. We highly recommend it!
Perfect hospitality and great location to explore the Pt. Reyes National seashore. Orvis the dog checked in regularly for a friendly visit and was charming. Would definitely recommend this site to others.
We enjoyed camping under the big Buckeye tree with the fairy lights that lit up at night. We positioned our camper van so that it faced the tree and a seasonal dry creek (would love to see it when it has water). The host's house was behind us. We had a nice conversation with the hosts and Orvis, the dog was a friendly host as well. It is located in a country setting residential neighborhood so the neighbors were spread apart.
Beautiful and peaceful spot. Well equipped for star gazing, eating at the picnic table and relaxing, playing games, and enjoying the area. Wonderful hosts, we miss Orvis already :)
