A stunning nature and river reserve! The views are stunning at this glorious property surrounded by mountains and undeveloped land. Relax in the quiet reverence of nature at our simple space.

Our private sanctuary rests atop the Santa Margarita River adjacent to a nature preserve along a rural dirt road. Breathe in the fresh, clean air, enjoy the gentle caress of the cool breezes, and listen to nature’s symphony of critter sounds and trickling river water. Stroll through the land, taste the sweetness offered by our citrus trees, rest in the shade on one of our hammocks, or play with your inner child on the saddle see-saw. Take a healthy hike or mountain bike on the many surrounding nature trails our sacred space has to offer.

At night, gaze into the dark, star-filled sky.  Want more action? Wine Vineyards, beaches and San Diego City attractions are just a short drive away.

Four camp sites are situated along the bluffs overlooking the river and one site is located near the top of the land.  The spots are best suited for small tents because the area surrounding the tents is narrow.  One tent and one car are allowed for each site booked. This is a TENT ONLY site with NO CAR CAMPING.  Cars rest in a separate area which is a 1-5 min walk from the camping areas.  PLEASE NOTE the camping area and walk paths have recently been grated so the dirt is fairly soft and uneven in places and the TERRAIN is quite STEEP in some areas.  We call it nature's stair master!

The composting potties are a 1-5 minute walk from the sites.  You can find photos of each site, plus two additional ones, in the photos section of this site. Campers must arrive at least 1 hour before dark to ensure a safe set-up experience.

The nature scene here is the reason we are here.  It is raw, rustic, and beautiful!  A high degree of reverence and respect for mother earth is required to stay here.  We encourage guests to make an offering to the land before setting up camp.  A flower, a piece of fruit or other gift from nature is perfect.  Gratitude is the antidote to suffering.  We are grateful you are choosing to spend time with us!

Staying at Aimee's place was magical. To be honest, I didn't set any expectations as I just love camping in the wild, but this little place (it's actually huge) was a dream come true.
The land is beautiful and has amazing energy, so does Aimee. Every time we would meet randomly, we couldn't stop talking.

Aimee is definitely someone who cherishes this place and respects nature and the land.

She is extremely welcoming, easy going and friendly.

The area Aimee's land is located is just plain beautiful, deserted, secluded, private - everything you dream of when you wish to have some "me time" and connect with nature.

She gave us plenty of tips about the area and those were also the highlights of our time at Aimee's place.

We will come back - to chat more with Aimee, to reconnect with the land, to spend more time in the gorgeous nature surrounding this place.

Thank you, Zoe! It was my pleasure to share this slice of heaven with you two. Reading your words affirms my decision to invite others to the land. Please do come back! There is much more to explore and I am sure we have plenty more to talk about.

If you feel like you need to relax, decompress, float in a creek, and look out over a green valley, you've found your spot.

Both my fiancee and I work in elder care, and I can't tell you how burned out we've been these days. We needed to completely relax and rejuvenate and we only had two days. I never realized that we could get away from the smog and the freeway and the stress so easily. In just an hour's drive we were in the countryside at Welcome Love.

When we stayed with Aimee and Lily this past weekend, they were the welcoming, thoughtful, and earnest hosts who you hope to meet.

We sat under the shade of an oak tree and snacked and read as we listened to the only sounds there--bird song and the flowing creek. A couple minutes' walk and we were floating in perfect temperature water, watching the sunset in the warm air and listening to bull frogs. At night, we slept under the milky way and saw shooting stars.

It is a short walk from parking to (what we think is) the best camp spot, so if you want the best view, keep that in mind. Aimee, Lily, and friends are actively growing and developing the farm as well, and it's inspiring to see their community of friends. We did have privacy and could have spent the weekend very much to ourselves with the natural beauty. We were in our own secluded area of the farm with the aforementioned great view and trails, but we found our hosts such gems that we chose to find them when they were out and about.

The creek has many trails leading to and around it. We found the walk, even with our small dog, easy and almost too brief.

If you're looking for peace, nature and kindness I can't recommend this campsite and our hosts enough. It's also so easy to reach. We had a wonderful time, and we look forward to returning soon, and often.

Wow, Justen! If I didn't already live here, your review would certainly inspire me to come! Thank you for being here and truly taking it in. You, Lauren, and Berl (not enough adjectives to describe the cuteness here) were a joy to meet. Thank you for doing the good, challenging work of caring for others. It's special folks like you that make our world a better place.

Aimee’s land is pretty prime for a trip out of the city! I’d recommend bringing your own shade if you plan on sitting around camp during the day, but the river has plenty of coverage for daytime excursions! Bathroom trailer was SPARKLING clean, which was a relief considering the no shoe policy. Totally fine, just bring a pair of extra socks if you’re worried. Aimee is welcoming and has plenty of tips on where and how to access the little river which the campsites overlook. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, from the other campers, to the hosts, which was especially appreciated when my car got stuck and we (thank you again to EVERYONE who helped) dug the wheels out with our bare hands. Would highly recommend staying here to any campers!

We had a very pleasant stay at Aimee's place! The views, sounds, and peacefulness were a welcome getaway. Aimee was very helpful in informing us of options of where to go and what to do. There are several spots along the river a short walk/drive away that were great for cooling off and relaxing during the summertime.

We got in as it was approaching dark and Aimee was there to meet us and help us find a spot to set up. It was warm the weekend we were there so we set up camp under a large oak tree. Even though we knew other campers were there, we rarely saw them as they were around a small bend so if feels like you have the place all to yourself!

A few comments (not complaints, just things to be ready for): It is a short walk to the car but it is very loose dirt and you may need to go over a hill or right next to someone else's campsite to get to your spot ... so pack/plan accordingly! Also, depending on how many people are there, you might have similar issues getting to the bathrooms. But the bathroom itself was great, clean and fresh! Lastly, when we were there, the parking was a work in progress and a little chaotic. I expect it will be better soon.

Overall we had a great time camping here and would be happy to recommend this campsite! We loved that if felt further out of town than it actually was. We took short drives into Temecula, Fallbrook, Deluz and more.

We look forward to finding another chance to come back!

Aimee was incredibly friendly. She met us and directed our parking to be the most convenient, she gave us multiple options for campsite spots and explained the toilet situation. Her directions were very specific but I would absolutely recommend getting there before dark. Lots of winding roads!! She told us about a swimming hole we ended up spending half the day in and was open to suggestions/recommendations for making the site a better experience for everyone. She was so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be visiting again!!

Aimee could not have been kinder or more welcoming! There were two tiers cut into the side of the hill on her big property. The paths weren’t very wide, making it a little awkward to pass other campsites, but plenty of space once we got settled with our small, two person, tent. The hike down to the water was quick (as long as you go the right way) and it was beautiful down there. The bathrooms weren’t as nice as the other reviews had said but they did the job.
