Situated in the local coastal plain of San Luis Obispo, CA, this mountainous farm is divided in half with a higher portion for running cattle and a lower portion for farming 200+ organic crops, ranging from ancient grains, beans, and peas to herbs and spices. Stock up at our on-farm store, located in a small barn to the right as you enter the property! You can also pick up your pumpkins and Christmas trees less than a mile east at Brookshire Farms.
Located within 7 miles of Montana De Oro State Park, our campsites offer close access to 100s of miles of hiking trails. Varying in both difficulty and landscape, some hikes offer ocean views, others offer the delightful scent of towering Eucalyptus groves. Additionally, we are only 8 miles from Morro Bay Beach.
From our higher elevation sites, guests get a bird's-eye view of Morro Bay and Morro Rock, with the waves crashing on the breakwater visible to the naked eye. On a clear day, you can also see all the way to Villa Creek Road, which is 7+ miles North of Cayucos and South of San Simeon, home of Hearst Castle. Villa Creek Road is the sight of the only viable Abalone Farm in California.
Additionally, we are about 5 miles to the back bay of Los Osos, known as Baywood Park. Baywood offers a variety of dining options, ranging from Pizza Parlors to high end restaurants.
At our farm, we offer 3 camp sites, two at the base of the mountain and a third located at the top of the mountain. There are two porta potties, one at the top site and a second located next to sites 1 & 2. Please bring your own toiletry supplies. We ask that you clean up after yourself in the bathroom and be respectful of other campers.
NO OFF-ROAD VEHICLES are allowed on our property
***Note: Our property is home to several hundred hives of bees. They awake when the sun rises and go to sleep as the sun sets. To access the campsites, you will drive right next to the bee hives. Please keep this in mind when booking your stay and be sure to close your windows when approaching your campsite! We are not responsible for any complications related to bee stings.***
IN THE EVENT OF RAIN, much of the property becomes muddy & impassable. Please be aware that we may need to cancel & refund your stay due to weather concerns.

Our family of all ages had an awesome time! The view and the tree was our favorite! We could see all the way to Morro Rock and Ocean. Peaceful and no one around! Very private. We took a 18 FT trailer towed with 4x4 F150. We made it up and down the hill no problem. Thank you! Larry.

Campsite 3 had amazing views and enough space for a large group of people to camp comfortably. Larry was very communicative and helpful.
I would highly recommend only SUVs/trucks or vehicles with 4x4 to camp here as the hill was steep and had deep gutters for water drainage that scarped the cars we brought. We had to purchase firewood from the local supermarket to construct bridges for smaller cars to get up and down the hill.

The water bars get deeper as the water comes off the hill during the wet season and now that that's pretty much over we will be leveling those out in the next few days. I know that it's only designed for high clearance vehicles and I applaud your ability to get up the hill by putting parts of logs in the ruts you're driving over. I think I would consider doing that with some timbers timbers that wouldn't go all the way across but not be very massive so they could be put up there in the back of the pickup and people could drive over without scraping their undercarriage. Thank you for the great idea!!
Looking out over the valley, you can see Morro Rock while sitting around the campfire. Truly beautiful! Recommend 4-wheel drive to access (dirt road, up a hill). Site includes picnic table and a few chairs. Larry was wonderful to communicate with, very helpful providing info ahead of time, and quick to respond to the few questions we had while onsite. Cell service worked. Kids and dogs and adults all had a great time!

Such a pleasure to have you and know you enjoyed your time. The welcome mat is always out!!
We stayed on campsite 3 which you should only book if you have a 4 wheel drive, since the hill is pretty steep (we took my husband’s CRV and made it up fine). The campsite is very spacious and you get amazing 360 view of mountains and ocean. Larry was prompt in answering my questions prior to the trip, and I recommend this site to anyone who wants to stop for a camping break driving up or down California. We were coming home from LA to the Bay Area and it was a perfect way to split up the drive.
second time here. Beautiful location, and awesome views
Beautiful spot. Campsite 3 was so serene and it was quite a wonderful place to be. Close to lots of hikes in the area and the to downtown
Great big site with a wonderful view of Morro bay on a clear day!

So glad you got to enjoy it it is a beautiful view probably one of the vest in the county. On a clear day you can see over 21 miles to the Northwest across the ocean!!
We love this site and this part of California! It was a little dicey getting up the road but more than worth it once we made it to the top! Thanks so much Larry!!

Thank you for putting up with the diceness of the road. We have to have those water bars in at this time of year but pretty soon they will disappear as we can flatten them out since it's not supposed to rain. I agree with you it is a part of heaven at least a slice of it and it makes sense because the road right next to us is called Paradise! All that I'm saying is true!!
We had an amazing time on Larry’s property! The views were incredible and the space was very private! We would highly recommend

I had no doubt you could make it with that Ford after all the initials mean 1st on race day! Please plan a return trip when you have the opportunity. BTW you can typically see 21 miles to the Northwest so that's 14 miles past Morro rock!!
