Our host was helpful in finding the location. Google wasn't helpful. Daniel provided driving direction.

The host was very friendly over the phone. We never actually stayed here. We had RV trouble and we were behind. I was a bit disappointed that the host didn't offer to refund at least some of our multi day reservation. We even paid in advance for laundry.
When reserving the location we asked how far from the lake the site was. Nobody told us it was all dried up. So after car trouble we drove all the way there to find a dried up lake. It was so hot that we just moved onto our next location.
I will say it looked beautiful, and had a great view of the mountain.

We had a brief two night stay at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude, complete with a morning visit of several deer just feet from our motorhome while we cooked breakfast. It’s a quick drive into town and a great location! We enjoyed visiting Hedge Creek Falls and following it up with wood-fired pizzas and beer at The Garden Tap in Mt. Shasta City. Just be sure to read the information about which sites have water hookups. We didn’t pay enough attention and only had electric on our stay but didn’t bother to ask switching sites since it wasn’t an issue for us. We’d highly recommend and would book there again!

We enjoyed sunset from our site both evenings there. The deer stayed with us all morning, completely unfazed by us and our cooking. Our view from site #1.

Hey Sarah - thanks for the kind and informative review for other Hipcampers. We love the deer that frequent the land here and glad they made an appearance and hung out for the morning. Look forward to hosting you again if your travel plans align!

We made a last minute reservation with Daniel. He was very easy to communicate with and his property was easy to find. The spaces are clearly marked and it fit both our RV and separate vehicle. The area is beautiful (especially at sunset) and it looked like there were trails to hike but we didn't get to check it out since we only stayed one night. It is close to the town of Weed if you need to grab a bite or resupply.

This was a gorgeous little spot tucked away in Northern California. If you’re traveling to/from Oregon/San Francisco like we were it makes a nice pit stop. There are gorgeous lake and mountain hikes nearby, but not immediately across from their property. If you’re pulling a camper make sure you have blocks to go under your tongue jack and stabilizers, the natural ground surface is very dusty and loose, easy to slide/sink if the weight isn’t evenly distributed, but still safe and easy enough to drive in and out of. There are standard electric plugs, but didn’t yet have 30 or 50 amps for small RV’s and travel trailers. Daniel was a great commutator and he and his wife are super kind.
