Escape the whirlwind of the world at our own little sanctuary conveniently located in between Grass Valley and Nevada City.

Our 25ft yurt is nestled away on our 10acre ranch offering the ideal location for your next getaway to Nevada County. We are 10 min from downtown Grass Valley, 12 minutes from historic downtown Nevada City and only 15 min from the Yuba River!

While enjoying some decompression on our land feel free to take a hot or cold bath outside by the sauna ( great for stargazing at night ) or even fire up the sauna for some relaxing and invigorating self care.

*** As of 6/28/22 due to fire season starting up we are suspending use of the wood stove in our sauna to keep our land and everyone else safe from fire hazards!

You can choose to shower outside by the sauna or use the private shower next door to the yurt. Our toilet is a traditional composting toilet located right outside the door from the yurt as well.

Feel like going on a stroll? Feel free to wander down to our NID where you can take a leisurely stroll on a path along the waterside. Woolman lane is also a great little stroll as well. Our road is very quiet and the road to the yurt had a separate entrance so no worries about coming in late or early.

Feel free to say hello to our free roaming chickens and even grab some fresh eggs for cooking! They love organic produce trimmings that you would normally discard.

Our yurt has a king size bed, full kitchen for all your culinary needs, including a vitamix and full oven/stove. There’s a table for eating or work, chairs and shelving for any of your clothes, accessories etc.

For 3 or more guests we can provide an extra queen mattress with bedding and will fit easily on the floor without too much crowding.

Windows all around give TONS of sunlight and an opening skylight up top complete with a ceiling fan and lights.

For the cooler winter months the yurt is heated by an indoor wood burning stove and wood and kindling is provided.

Summer days can get very hot in the yurt so be prepared by bringing an extra mister or take a dip in the Yuba only 15 min away.

Enjoy sitting outside on the patio furniture. Take a nap or read a book on the hammock while you relax in a peaceful and serene environment.

We also provide organic coffee, tea, sugar and honey. An outdoor table and a hammock will be waiting for you, too.

Plenty of parking and dogs ok only by request.

-No pets allowed on the land unless we pre-approve your pet first!! Must be up to date with their rabies vaccination and friendly to other dogs, cats and chickens.

Please note.. this is glamping NOT a luxury hotel. Yurts can get dusty etc, although we do our best to keep it as clean as possible :) We welcome all friends from all races, religions, gender identities and backgrounds.

Our stay at Rachel's was very comfortable and enjoyable. She was very responsive and helpful, so don't hesitate to reach out to her if you need to. Our favorite parts were the walk along NID, the hammock, the shower, the fresh eggs and the kitchen had everything we needed (We even made a smoothie for ourselves). Our only "not so great experience" was the bio toilet. It was clean, no doubt, just a different experience.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay there. Do check out the Yuba river spot, should be approx 15 min drive and do plan to take a dip in the water.
A fun thing we noticed: The Yurt has a spot where if you stand and say something, it will be amplified a little because of the acoustics.

The yurt was phenomenal! It was beautiful, spacious, and had so many wonderful amenities - plenty of cooking supplies, beautiful teas, and a comfy bed. We adored staying there, found the surrounding property to be gorgeous and very conveniently located for our day trips to the South Yuba River, and the yurt stayed pretty cool and comfortable even with 95 degree days with the use of the ceiling fan. I've never experienced a more beautiful view from a toilet seat than the one from the composting toilet. The shower was difficult to get a temp that wasn't either cold or scalding, and we did lose power a couple of times when the solar energy ran out. Aside from those small things, we couldn't be more pleased with our stay, and highly recommend coming here!

Thank you so much for such a sweet review!! We only wish y’all would have mentioned something about the water situation. Our hot water heater dials are finicky but with a special touch we could have fixed that problem. We’ll make sure to fix it before our next hipcamp renters tomorrow though! We have new lithium batteries and panels that will be getting added to our solar unit in the next few weeks so hopefully if y’all come back our power will be super strong by then! Glad enjoyed your stay!!

We loved staying at the yurt! The space is very comfortable and well equipped with a stove, fridge and cookware.

Outside the yurt, there is so much to enjoy. Our favorite was the outdoor seating area and hammock to enjoy the wonderful grove of manzanitas. There is so much to explore on this property, we had a great time hiking in the nearby creek.

Stayed in the most amazing, artistic yurt surrounded by lovely trees! There is an amazing rain shower and toilet. Our hosts were lovely… they gave us fresh eggs from chickens on the farm. Really well stocked, clean and spacious place. A great place for some quiet time and inspiration. This place is a gem! We will be back!
