This is a lovely comfortable space. I didn't use the tent because I had my dog with me but it looks very comfortable and welcoming. The composting toilet was comfortable and clean. Pendry and Jay were both helpful.
It was so quiet and private as if I was in the backcountry but without hauling in a pack. The hosts very accommodating and laid back. I’m not fond of outhouses but this was the best I’ve ever used with a sink and running water.
Perfect little nook in the trees
Stargazer Field is very appropriately named. It was a lovely little private clearing on the property where we could look at the stars as we relaxed into the night. Quiet, beautiful, and deep in the woods. Pendry and Jay were communicative by text, but left us be, which we really prefer. The wishing tree and a morning visit from little bear were very sweet touches, too. We loved it.
Stargazer Field at the Woods was delightfully peaceful and everything I was hoping for. Pendry and Jay are incredibly warm and welcoming and happy to help in any way.
I would love to come back!
Quite and serene
Such a great spot! I was so happy when I pulled up and saw the camping area, surrounded by trees, so serene and quiet. My space had a yurt with a bed and couch, Pendry was nice enough to offer let me sleep in the yurt with my sleeping bag. For $15 they will make the bed with sheets for you and I highly recommend it. I had been camping in my truck and it was so nice to have a space to move around in a bit more. The stars were amazing at night, it was so quiet and restful. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
What a lovely location! Truly a magical star gazing field, but that just scratches the surface. They were very accommodating guests, making sure we felt settled. They have two wonderful dogs that they allowed us to throw the ball around with for quite a while. The nearby woods are very serene and the addition of a floating spider's web-esque hammock was spectacular. I wish I could've stayed longer!
Good place to stop for a night
Easy to get to and has a quirky vibe. It was a convenient stop on our drive back from Oregon. The composting toilet was nice to have (including Meyers soap and deet free mosquito repellent). And the host was kind and offered us a shade structure, as it was the beat of summer. There was unfortunately a bit of trash at our site. It was good for the night but I wouldn't want to camp for more than that.
