MountainView is the flagship camping area on The Preserve at Temecula Creek.  There are two sites that both share a huge parking and communal hangout area with trees, fire pits and tables.  Site one has a large clearing for tents, trailer or vehicles, a private tent platform down the trail, sunset view bench overlooking the valley & direct access to hike/camp down in the valley itself.  Site two has a large clearing as well, private tent areas down the trail & a hanging chair to enjoy the views and mountain breeze.  MountainView area is a short walk to the guest amenities, camp toilet, grills, camp kitchen & dog run.  For larger groups book both one and two for the ultimate setup. *The Hipcamp system lists site 1 and site 10.  Until I get that fixed... Site 10 = Site 2.

The Preserve has multiple Guest Hangout areas with shared amenities, including fire pits, hammock, picnic tables, sun shade, dog pen & gazebo, food prep stations and a camp toilet with privacy tent. Garbage/Camp Toilet bags are restocked weekly at each site.

I had a fantastic time at this beautiful open air scenic spot. Right off the road but very little disturbance from cars passing by. Feeling of isolation with no neighbors in this remote location but I had better cell signal than I do at home so I felt safe. It was awesome to be able to decide to go camping at 2 pm and be set up by 5. The host was very kind and a good communicator. I missed the note that 4 wheel drive was recommended but I made it up there in my Honda Civic just fine. We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Gorgeous views, plenty of flat space for tents. Be conscious of the fact there there is little shade. Old spools and small metal trash bin mark the camping spots. Giving it a nice frontier vibe. Gorgeous sunset & clear view of Neowise comet!M O U N T A I N V I E W

This was the most unique camp site I have camped at in a long time. It’s a mountain top isolation dream. Best views of the sunset, tons of privacy, spectacular mountain range views. Bars/restaurants nearby. It has everything you want for pure wilderness camping. Robert was extremely thorough with directions, surrounding areas, description, and helpful tips. If you are in the San Diego area and want a pure, unique camping experience, I highly recommend this spot! Thanks Robert!

Really enjoyed our stay at The Preserves. The moment you arrive you are engulfed by the surrounding mountains and beautiful desert landscape. The destination is reached via a journey down a dirt road which makes you feel you are “off the beaten path” when in reality, you are only a few miles from civilization. It was very quiet and peaceful.
Recommended for camping, hiking or just relaxing. Looking forward to going back.
