Hansen was an incredible host leading up to and during the event we hosted on his property. We had a big ask, 40+ people, multiple camping setups, and a large stage and sound system. Hansen went above and beyond to help us plan for the property, even meeting us a few weeks before the event so we could plan the setup on his property. Not only this, we needed some additional outlets installed for power, and he had this completed before we even showed up. He is such an incredible host, and I highly recommend this Hipcamp if you're looking for a spot for a big group!

The property itself is absolutely incredible. Situated ontop of a mountain near Lake Elsinore, you have views stretching from the lake to the entire town of Wildomar. The sunsets from the top of the mountain are amazing. The road getting up to the property is a bit tricky, so I recommend using a 4x4 vehicle, and avoiding driving sedans or low cars up the road. Other than that, it is absolutely perfect! Lot's of hiking nearby, and plenty of space for any event you're looking to organize.

We are already planning another event for the fall, and look forward to working with Hansen again!

Had a great experience here at The Overlook. Built up shade, picnic table, and patio lighting were a nice touch to our private campsite. The short walk to the overlook deck was also awesome. We experienced several bouts of wind throughout the night so recommend you prepare for that. Our cheap tent stakes were no match for the tough, dry areas so we had to get creative with the larger rocks nearby. Thank you Hansen and Caleb for being awesome hosts!

If you’re looking for an escape in the clouds, The Overlook is for you!

The best view around! The Overlook is an absolute dream, with magical views that encompass the entirety of Temecula and Lake Elsinore. Sweeping across the valley you truly feel amongst the birds. While staying here, we witnessed red tailed hawks in their natural habitat, the sky.

Not only is it close to EPIC mountain biking trails, but the amenities were fabulous. We had water via hose, a shaded picnic table, and plenty of rubbish bins. Hansen was a fabulous host, easy to talk with, good directions, and even easier to get good recommendations.

We forgot the gas for our stove and they hooked us up with another grill! We were able to cook our food and have a good time roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.

If you’re looking for an escape, climb the mountain peaks and stay in The Overlook.

The only issue for some people might be intimidated by the main road but tbe hosts have an alternate road. For me and my group camp, fully loaded 50+ year old VW campers fully loaded and maybe 50 horsepower on a good day, the road was not much of a challenge and by my own standards, fun. We had a great time..

Celebrating my birthday camping at The Overlook was such a great experience with my group of friends. Hansen was very accommodating throughout our stay and was able to provide whatever we needed. There is a sink with running water, porta potty, and electricity. We didn’t get to experience the morning marine layer during our stay, which was end of October. Bees would hang around the trash bins but were harmless. The amphitheater was the unique feature of this campsite with really great views, especially at night. (Fun fact, Hansen built the amphitheater!) The road up to the site is unpaved, so a rugged car is suggested but not required. Just take it slow. They charge per person so make sure to get your guest count right. Overall, this was a great private camping experience. Thank you, Hansen!

The Overlook was significantly better than I anticipated. With 180 degree views of California beauty, we couldn't get get enough of staring off into the distance. Getting up the road to the campsite was also easier than expected and was completely fine in a sedan. The campsite itself had everything - bench, lights, small sink, porta-john. It was perfect. We had plenty of privacy and the observation deck was a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy some beers (I even brought some battery operated string lights to hang on the banister which really was a nice touch).

This place is so special! I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed camping here with our RV. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. They helped us position our RV, made sure we were all set up and even gave us a bunch of fresh oranges from their small grove. The view is INCREDIBLE and you feel like you’re really far away from civilization in a great way. The sink and outhouse were a huge plus. Highly recommend camping here. Also would be great for a big family or small group gathering because there is ample space. Will definitely be coming back here in the future :)

Fantastic little getaway! Loved the overlook, the lights, and the wide open space. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise views from the campsite. Lots of areas to explore and areas to relax in.
