We loved staying here! Darlene is wonderful and the location is fantastic. Very quiet and great star gazing. Our two dogs loved the experience. Easy access to downtown. As others have commented, the entry gate is a bit narrow. We took it slow in our 18 ft 6 in long NuCamp Tab 400 which is 7 ft 6 in wide. We made it fine, but definitely needed two people (driver and spotter).
I think anything bigger would have an issue.
We look forward to returning again next time we are in Paso Robles.

I loved the convenience of this location. Darleen was sweet and met us upon arrival to show us the best spot.

We really enjoyed camping here. It is conveniently located yet quiet and private. Darleene was a great host
A beautiful field with gorgeous sunrise. If you enjoy peaceful quiet, this a great place. Darleene was kind to meet me in the dark to show me where to park.
Thank you Darleene.

Thank you Holly for the kind words. You're welcome back anytime!
Darlene was a warm & friendly host!! We enjoyed meeting her & loved our stay at her spot! I’d highly recommend staying here:)
Really enjoyed the stay!
Easy proximity to vineyards and town of Paso.
Two couples in a tent-trailer and van camper, guided by the host to the back corner of the lot. She showed us a private and quiet spot with some tree shade for late afternoon, oak tree views, and a lot of space from any other people/lights/noise.
We are into star gazing: big bonus this was scenic and private, well spaced from neighbors! Nicely shielded from Paso town or street lights!
Fenced and open large camp area-- Dog loved that part too!
Perfect retreat for us, absolutely would return.
Notes to help prepare:
No amenities (tables/garbage/water), but we are self contained and usually pick the rustic and lower maintenance areas for stars and privacy. GPS/directions were great!
Heads up:
The entry (opening in the fence) is fairly narrow and in the farthest corner of the driveway, and was a little tight for our trailer. Just take it slow, and know to watch it. (May be tight for a bigger RV or trailer.)
Host plans to expand width eventually, but check ahead if bigger rig/longer trailer!

Darleene is a great host. She is easy to contact, friendly and caring. She was always in touch and gave us a great 👍 welcome . Her place is quiet 🤫 and perfect to watch the stars ⭐️ !!

It was so good to meet your family and so happy you enjoyed your time here. Come back anytime and enjoy the summer.
Our host gave us perfect directions to their beautiful grassland nestled between blue oaks and vineyards. We arrived after dark and set up camp on a flat spot and woke up to a beautiful landscape with all the best sounds of country wildlife. The location is close to numerous wineries, town for any necessities, and to a number of great hikes. We had all the privacy we could ask for with the comforts of car camping. Thanks again, Darleene!

I am so happy that my first HipCampers enjoyed the beauty and privacy they found here and enjoyed their stay. What a delight this couple was and I am so glad to have hosted their initial HipCamp exprience. They are always welcomed back here, any time. And, thank you HipCamp for this opportunity to share!
