Welcome to the Hummingbird Hideout, a classic 1966 all-original and well-maintained Aristocrat trailer located a short 0.5 mile walk or bike ride to Mackerricher State Park! Come glamp with us and stay out of the crowded campgrounds! Nestled back from the country road on our property, you can expect privacy and lots of hummingbirds that live in the native landscaping.

Our coastal getaway is situated in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Cleone and just down the road from all the best the Mendocino coast has to offer! Nearby activities include horseback riding, walking or riding the ‘haul road’ along a beautiful stretch of the coast south into Fort Bragg or north to the Inglenook Dunes Preserve (the largest intact coastal dunes in California). Along this stretch, the coast features secluded beaches, rocky intertidal zones, whale watching, harbor seals sun bathing and lots of coastal birds and other wildlife! You can also hike the Coastal trail that meanders through the headlands and down to beaches adjacent to the haul road. Walk to the Purple Rose Mexican Restaurant for great food and drinks or to the Cleone Grocery to stock up on food and drinks. By car, we are a 5 minute drive into Fort Bragg and 15 minutes to the world-class artist village of Mendocino. Maps of hiking and info on the area is provided. We absolutely love it here, and think you will too!

The hideaway was relaxing and a great location for getting to beach hikes and into town. The hammock outside the RV was a really nice touch, great for star gazing after a long day of adventures.

We had the best time here! The location was absolutely amazing - only a short walk to the beach, grocery store and lots of scenic trails. Quick drive into Fort Bragg where they have great shops, restaurants, and a fantastic health food store. Our favorite parts were walking past the beautiful (and friendly!) horses at Ricochet Ranch every morning, and watching the many hummingbirds that indeed love the site. Big thanks to the Robert, Kate and their daughter who were wonderful hosts!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hummingbird Hideout! The Aristocrat is in amazing condition and full of vintage chic, while also being comfortable and spacious. Our hosts were attentive and responded quickly to our questions. With its close proximity to town and beaches I would definitely recommend it!

Kate and her sweet daughter were very welcoming. The trailer was cozy and fun to stay in. Nice town close to Fort Bragg, Mendocino, the coast and several parks. The local, walkable Mexican restaurant was a lot of fun with good food, drinks, and live music.
