Great time at this campground. Mark went above and beyond to accommodate us and was very very friendly. It was nice to talk to him and he was always willing to help out when he could.

We slept in our vans and didn’t have issue with chickens or dog noise.

Will come back

Very friendly host and nice location. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Plenty of space. Only thing is that they had a lot of roosters and they started "talking" at about 5am in the morning. I got some earplugs for the second night which did help.

We loved our stay at the Hillfort. We were greated very warmly and got great tips for activities in the area. There weren't any other people camping during our stay, but the people of Hillfort made us feel very welcome and safe. All in all we had a wonderful stay here!

Mark and Kevin were wonderful hosts! Very hospitable, offered way more than you could need. Perfect for quick camp spots while passing through the valley. Chickens and dogs on the other side of the street were quite loud but they didn’t bother us much at all. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!

The hosts are friendly, the spots are fairly well shaded, and the bathroom was clean! My only criticism is that the chickens absolutely will wake you up before sunrise.

Very welcoming and friendly guys. Enjoyed sitting by the campfire with Mark and others that were visiting and meeting new people. Campsite and bathrooms were clean. Very impressed. Would recommend to others and will be back to visit!

From the moment we set foot on the property we were given a warm welcome and made to feel at home. Friendly camp host, camp site owner and campers. The beer that was offered was greatly appreciated after a long journey. A great evening spent around a camp fire sharing stories from different continents. Sadly we had to leave before we could say a proper thank you. Highly recommend!

Great place to camp. I came in late in the evening and was immediately greeted and offered a beer. They already had a campfire going, and we had a couple beers and talked about racing and carpentry. Very welcoming. The amount of stars you can see here is amazing. These days there is so much light pollution but not here. Lots of chickens, some roosters, and peacocks. Country life for sure!
