Great site, very clean and lots of shared amenities to use. The only thing I would say was missing was tables at the camp sites. You’ll probably want to eat and cook in the communal area like we did, but a small table at the camp site would be nice for general stuff.
Great easy stay; highly recommend
Great campsite, thoughtfully well maintained by the host, Rosemarie. NOTE: Skoolie and RV campground is the same location also on Hipcamp as The Desert Rose Collective, which has hundreds of great reviews so check out that listing if you’re not sure. We were on our first RV trip, so we were looking for a site with some support. We had easy and consistent access to water and electricity, plus the site has an outdoor kitchen, bathroom, and community fires. There are sites available around the main camp area and more private spots if that’s what you’re looking for; plus Rosemarie will work with you to find a spot that works for you. She was at the site daily when we were there making it easy to ask questions. We hung out with our little ones at camp quite a bit, but also drove to Joshua Tree and the Morongo Valley Nature Preserve, which I would def recommend!

Hi Tiffany, Thanks for pointing out that we are The Desert Rose Collective and have RV parking as well as campsites. We also have fully furnished tent cabins on site for rent and it is a bit hard to view all the offerings together on Hipcamp. We're glad you figured it out and are sharing that info! It was such a lovely holiday weekend and we loved that you, Lindsey, Oliver and William really enjoyed the property and the surrounding area and Joshua Tree. We love it here and are so happy to have guests who really enjoy it too! We look forward to seeing you again one day. In the meantime, happy trails! Rosemarie
We loved our stay at the desert rose collective. Rosemarie has created an oasis in the desert, with thoughtful touches everywhere you look from the potbelly stove near the bar to the buddha lounge and firepit to the lounge chairs perfect for grabbing an afternoon nap in the sun.
We chose to camp just outside of the main area but everything was easily accessible if we needed it. The communal kitchen is one of the best i've seen at any campground, fully stocked with pots, pans, oils, utensils and a HUGE sink with hot water.
Rosemary was super patient with out 3yo who since we have returned home has not stopped asking when Rosemarie is coming to visit and when we can go back to the campground. We will return for sure and highly recommend this site to everyone.

Hi Victoria, So, I'm a household name now! Love it!!! Tree is a very special one and I will look forward to you returning with her. Big virtual hugs to all of you and tell Tree I miss her. She was so entertaining and absolutely the highlight of the holiday weekend. All the best and happy holidays! Rosemarie
What an amazing find!
Rosemarie, our host, has created a most comfortable, delightful and eclectic outdoor living space. The common area where we hooked up the rig includes a full outdoor kitchen, dining and lounging areas with fire pits scattered about. Yet the area is large enough to sit quietly and read a book. There are also a few tents set up on decks that are more like mini yurts! Off in the woods are private individual spaces for tents or boon-docking. We didn’t have a car but found incredible hikes right off of the sprawling compound. We made a friend in Rosemarie, our host, who graciously greets her guests. Can’t wait to return! Check Desert Rose Collective for more great reviews of this place.

Hi Linda, It makes my heart happy that you love this place so much! I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again, it was really great meeting you. Happy Holiday Season! Stay safe and healthy, Rosemarie
Awesome thanksgiving weekend stay
Rosemarie is a very friendly, welcoming, hardworking host. The campground was well kept and clean. We enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving weekend. The location was great, close to several hiking areas and near the highway though we couldn’t hear the road. We highly recommend this campsite.

Thanks Catherine, It was a pleasure hosting you guys! Hope to see you back one day. Rosemarie
We had a great time staying at The Desert Rose Collective. Rosemarie was welcoming when she greeted us and allowed us to choose a space that accommodated our needs. The property is so unique and offers so many fun things for us to do, such as art projects, tether ball, trampoline and communal fire pits. Although we have our own camp kitchen supplies, we found it really convenient to use the communal kitchen and dining areas which was really clean with plenty of supplies. We highly recommend this fun and unique hipcamp.

Hi Marjeri, It was a pleasure having you and we're so happy you found our place so accommodating. We'll see you next time! Happy Holidays and be safe and stay healthy. Rosemarie
Awesome camp site for tents and rvs
Rosemarie was an awesome host! She was welcoming, friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with her. The site was perfect for us in an RV with two small girls (1 and 3 yrs), with amenities like Electricity, water, fire pits, a trampoline, corn hole, and tons of solar powered lights that really look amazing at night. It is about 30-40 mins from Joshua Tree National Park, but a great option while camp sites in the park are closed. Totally recommend!

Hi Michelle, It was so fun watching the girls enjoy themselves so much out here! We look forward to you coming back. Happy New Year! Rosemarie
This was my first time using hip camp and we couldn’t have had a better first experience. Rosemarie was very welcoming and always available to answer questions via text. There is a great community area and still the spot where we camped felt private. And beautiful views to top it off. We hope to come back.

Hi Christa, We hope you come back too! Thanks Rosemarie
