We have porta-pottys that is serviced weekly. Also potable water from our wells.
The land is unique and secluded. Meditate by a ancient Pinion pine tree, or watch a sunrise next to massive boulders, in a field, or on a hilltop, you'll find a lot of hiking, Also world renowned restaurants are only a 20-minute drive away.
Thanks,
Kyle

No one to greet us; the person at the entrance who we mistook for our host was surly, and literally said to us, “Hipcamp? I thought we took that down”. We had to pry information from about where we might find our host. It was most upsetting.
Such beautiful land! I love Kyle’s efforts to create community here. It’s more than just camping. We stayed in the Cosmic Castle which was soooo cute and we had the benefit of shade and the constant sound of birds under our gorgeous tree. :)
The community kitchen area was sweet and the land is simply gorgeous. Next time we’ll try out staying in the teepee!
Beautiful views and lots of space to ourselves. Friendly and accommodating host. Endless private land to explore with the iconic Joshua tree landscape
We had a great night at Garths Boulder Field amazing place in hi desert. Camp sites are quite and separate from each other. Amazing group of people & stories.
Land was good. Easy to find and get checked. Kyle is really friendly and easy to work with. They tolerated our shenanigans and loud music. A bit pricey for what you get but being left alone is worth that. The portos were less than 200 ft away. The land is really cool and they have done a lot of cool stuff with it. They take good care of it.
The dog buddah is sweet. It is close to town if you need things. Good dark skies for seeing the stars. My only minor complaint is one of the guys who seems to be staying there long term (definitely a hippie commune type place) came up to ask us for some batteries and other things. Don't really want to be hit up by people for stuff while trying to have a good time camping. He was friendly of course, it's just not something I want to deal with while out enjoying the experience. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good camp spot by JT.
This place was magical. Such a wonderful experience full of surprises. I don’t want to give it all away, but let’s just say dipping pools and peacocks. Beautiful property, friendly residents and guests, stunning scenery. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. What a retreat. Thank you to Garth and friends! 🙏🏼
What a beautiful and magical place. Such a vice getaway for my wife, son, dogs and myself. And the views were insane. Off the beaten path but still a short drive to great food and JTNP should you desire. Or just hike and chill there. We will definitely return.
We had a great time at Garth‘s Boulder Gardens. The campsites are spread out nicely, so there’s lots of privacy. If you want to hang out with some super nice people, you can go to the common kitchen and the outdoor living room and join others for a conversation, music making or cooking. There were so many things to explore, we were not able to do them all in one weekend. It can get windy there, so bring jackets and good stakes for your tent. We rented a propane fire pit, since campfires are not allowed. The propane fire pit was awesome! Everybody at Garth‘s Boulder Gardens was super friendly and helpful. We did not want to leave when our stay was over. We will definitely be back.
