Black Butte Basin Camping
Fun remote getaway!
Way cool. Remote and secluded. Bring a shovel to clear the ground and dig your fire pit. Nothing on premises, so Bring what you need, firewood too. Easy to find and you can pick anywhere on his land to camp. Lots of prickly plants so wear pants and socks and be prepared to clear your spot a bit with your shovel. Definitely gonna go back, only 1:45 minute drive from LA.

Black Butte Basin Camping
I did not find the place. i followed the directions as the host posted them, however a big rig accident on one of the hwys made me turn around. I was rerouted and then lost in the dark on sandy dunes. I was alone and scared my car would get stuck! I would attempt again, but only with someone along with me and in daylight.
