Splitrock Farm & Retreat offers guests access to 101 acres of a retired avocado farm, which includes beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean to the west and Mount Jacinto to the east.

We are located 5 miles from downtown Fallbrook, 14 miles from wine tasting in Temecula, and a few miles east of Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.

The Oak Grove is approximately 2 acres and is available for tent camping or trailer/RV camping. It is the perfect site for family or friends to gather around the picnic tables, BBQ, or snooze and listen to the sounds of the rustling oaks. This camp site offers 3 total sites, which can be booked together or separately.

Guests have access to 6+ miles of walking and biking trails. Feel free to explore the farm. Please stay on the designated trails.

Firepits are provided at each campsite. Campers may collect firewood on the property, however, if you would like cut wood, please bring your own or add an extra when booking.

The Oak Grove has one portable toilet available for guests and it is serviced regularly.

Keep children in sight and pets on leash as there is a variety of wildlife that visit frequently, including coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, snakes, hawks, spiders, ticks, and more.

Our neighbors also have dogs so you may hear them barking from time to time.

When visiting Splitrock Farm & Retreat you may hear training from Camp Pendleton. The nearby coastal and mountain terrain support a variety of military training at the base. Fleet Marine Force units use Camp Pendleton's ranges and training areas to maintain combat readiness, which can often be heard from campsites throughout the day and sometimes into the evenings.

Please NO: Hunting, fireworks, fires outside of designated fire rings, tossed cigarette butts, or fruit picking.

Had a great time at the Oak Grove. My two littles (4 and 7) had a blast exploring the property, while I enjoyed the quiet and solitude. Huge site with plenty of hammock-worthy trees. The stone fireplace, large stone table, and running water (hose with basin) were nice pluses that made the stay easier. Halley was very responsive.

This camp site was the perfect overnight for me and my buddies. Our hosts were always responsive and extremely accommodating. As we were hiking one morning we ran into Ben and we learned all about the grounds and the paths for the hikes. We mostly wondered around and found great views. The campsite was spacious and the fire pits were great for grilling and sitting around. The portapotty was clean and the area was really nice. Highly recommend, especially for larger groups. Will definitely be coming back on my way to SD from LA!

Hidden in the hills of Fallbrook, you take a few windy roads from the 15 to this secluded campsite. We came up from Central San Diego and it was a casual hour and a half drive to get to the campsite. While we could tell every now and then there were other people around, we would have to search to find them. We didn't see another person that wasn't part of our group the whole weekend. There were trails that lead from the campsite which allowed us to explore the property a bit more. However, in the shade of the oak grove, we were very comfortable just staying put. There is a large stone table that could easily seat 8 people for a nice camp dinner. With potable water coming from a hose and into a large sink, clean up after meals was easy. The porta-potty was clean and out of the way of the camp area. You may hear some noise from cars driving around since you are only a quick drive from downtown Fallbrook. But from the drive into the campsite you would know the cars were nowhere near the campsite. When we left the campsite, we made our way into Fallbrook for some coffee and plant nursery visits for the wifey. Overall a great experience. Our host was incredibly responsive and we are grateful for the time we had at the Oak Grove.

Relaxing, shady stay- perfect for the family. We were able toe hang a hammock on the trees, build a fire at night, and relax under the beautiful oak trees. We will definitely be back and wish we would have stayed two nights. The site was private and very soothing!

The three of us (husband and son) stayed at Oak Grove. We stayed June 25th through the 27th. Lots of firewood around. Lots of it. Lizards, caterpillars, Wooley bugs, birds galore and more. Very quiet at night until about 5:30 then the birds start singing. Lots of walking and rocks..split rocks everywhere. Bring lots of lighting. This site has an awesome giant rock table to put your canopy over. Huge space with lots and lots of trees to hide a tent under. So much space to venture and the hosts are some really cool people. You will hear the occasional practice booms from Camp Pendleton, but it is not excessive or annoying. You will here the cars from the road but wont disturb your time here. You are so high up the breeze through the trees is so nice. We had wind...nice wind..so bring your canopy weights. There is a sink with water hoses. Used to clean and put out fire. There is a huge ...HUGE fire pit for cooking. This is a really nice spot for hiking. We will be back again for sure. The hosts a super nice..i said that already..but saying it again..smile.

A hidden gem for a perfect relaxing stay. The sites are spread out and every group has enough space to feel one with nature— and the trails and views are spectacular. The setup with water access and provided firewood is a huge plus. Definitely coming back! Thanks again!

Took me a minute to write this review because I really wanted to take my time to express how amazing hosts Halley and her husband are. I chose this place last minute for a moto camping trip for about 17 women on motorcycles. The dirt road was very well maintained and the campsite was very clean and perfect. On one of the hottest days of the year, you would’ve never known that under the dozen of oak trees shading the campsite and the ocean breeze. The girls loved the campsite and asked where I found such a perfect site, “thank you hipcamp”. The night was perfect as well. We can’t wait to come back for another moto camping trip :) We found a hidden gem!
