We had a good night sitting by the fire pit and loved looking up at the stars! The only thing that caught us off guard was how close it is to the hosts house. You’re basically in their backyard and it didn’t feel quite as disconnected as a campsite as we had hoped. Other than that, the hosts were communicative, the site was quaint and cute, and the campers by us were very polite. The toilet is a porta pottie so be prepared!
We enjoyed the quiet, rural area of SLO. Several lovely beaches within half an hour. The airport is nearby, so be ready for the occasional plane.
The cats on the property are very social and friendly. The communal sink and shower were great, just be careful with the curtain on windy days. Each camp site has a fire pit with plenty of seating, with fire wood available for purchase. The owners are very helpful and communicative thoughout our stay.
Would definitely recommend this camp for a nice home base in the SLO area.
Great location in the countryside but minutes to trader Joe's etc. Nice setup as well with kitchen water, shower, and great views and breezes during the daytime. Also Ken and Judi were super cool with some last minute changes we had; They went above and beyond in that respect. We'll be back for sure.
Amazing place to see the stars at night next to a roaring fire pit. Ken & Judy are most gracious hosts. I invited a group of 5 ladies to come. Ken offered the gazebo and it was perfect for our card party.
Can get a little windy but that’s just uncontrollable - was clear & calm in the morning. Delightful to be in open space surrounded by beautiful hills of green and gold.
Host was very nice and set-up is nice. From comfy chairs, fire pit, sink for washing dishes and a nice outdoor shower, they have thought of the details. Views are very pretty.
Ken was so welcoming. Loved having access to a shower and kitchen sink. there is a lovely firepit for each site. kids enjoy the swing. great place to unwind and unplug
Ken and Judi are the best hosts! Their property is thoughtfully and meticulously kept. There are gorgeous rolling hills at sunset and starlit skies at night. They have the sites set up sweetly with everything you need! SLO, Pismo, Costco, everything is within a 15 minute drive! We love cooking, playing, and staying at Judi and Ken’s Hipcamp!
Great hosts! My wife and I spent a night here while passing through, and it was a pleasant surprise.
Had a peaceful Sunday night stay on our way back from down south to return to the Bay Area. So glad we didn't book a stay in Paso Robles at this time of year as it would have been way too hot. But this site is perfect for a nice breeze coming from the ocean. Convenient location to town without being there. Love the smell of the grass and the scenery of the fog laden hills in the background. Fortunate to be the only campers that night so it was really quiet--something we strive for. Appreciated having the bathroom and sink. And loved the little common areas with the lighting and nice decorative touches. The hosts were very welcoming and commutative. Would definitely stay again when we come down this way again.
