Other Details and Considerations: * We are a family Hip Camp with children, pets (two dogs and a cat), and neighbors (about 275 feet away) * Road Noise -- We live close to Highway 154, which means we are close and quick to many places but also hear traffic noise from this two-lane highway. Please take this into consideration before booking. Most people aren’t too bothered by it (and some compare the sound to waves as they come and go). * FIRE BAN -- Absolutely no fire! We live in an extremely high-risk fire area with very dry vegetation, so no campfires, cook stoves, candles, smoking, incense, lighters, matches, etc. * Arrival and departure -- Arrival between 4-10 pm. Departure by 1:00 pm. (We suggest that you arrive during daylight for easier setup and orientation to the land and your campsite. If you need to arrive after dark, please let us know so we can best guide you when you arrive.) * Quiet hours -- Very quiet from 10:30pm to 7:30am, Semi quiet in the evening from 9:00-10:30 and in the morning till 8:00 am. Thank you for your consideration of others and of our neighbors. * Musical instruments, or music—Live music is greatly welcomed! Playing pre-recorded music on devices is allowed if the volume is low and is used in consideration of others and during non-quiet hours. * Intoxicants -- Please no illegal drugs or use of legal substances to the point of intoxication, whereas your judgement for safety and consideration is impacted. * Parking – We have a somewhat bumpy driveway that is quite steep. Most cars are able to drive up fine. Please let me know if you have an extra large van or truck, we might not be able to accommodate large vehicles. * Children – We love to have children come! Be aware that we are on a mountain, therefore there are slopes where small children/toddlers will need to be watched more carefully.

A perfect simple rustic respite. Mila was kind and accommodating.
Coolest part was it was a 10 minute drive to Lake Cachuma, which featured a beautiful sunset. Sleeping amoung a the trees, sky and moon was my favorite part. ❤️
Lovely mountainside camping!
Nestled amongst sandstone bluffs, our tent site was perfectly flat and big enough for our 10X10 dome tent. The photo's described on the website made the site's look tiny, but actually there was plenty of room. The driveway is steep and the trail up to the tent sites is steeper, so be prepared for that if you want to carry heavy gear to your camp. The outdoor kitchen has everything for 4 people including a microwave, toaster and a refrigerator. Each campsite has a sink and running water. To cook there you must only use what is there, as personal stoves are prohibited. On our stay we enjoyed warm, balmy weather as well as foggy and windy weather. Somehow, the campsites were largely protected from the prevailing winds, which was delightful. The setting is beautiful and our host was wonderful too.
Beautiful property! Mila and Rob were super friendly and accommodating, and the love and effort they’ve put into cultivating their land is quite obvious. We had a lovely time exploring Santa Barbara and this was a nice place to come and cook a meal and sleep. Will definitely come back :)
Comfortable stay with a view.
Thank you, Mila for being able to accommodate us with short notice. We enjoyed our stay. Waking up at sunrise to see the sun rise over the ocean was beautiful. Kitchenette and bathroom were clean. Tent area was comfortable. Thank you.
The property is beautiful, has a bunch of fruit trees, pines, beautiful grape vines, and allows for both light and shade. The amenities pictured in the post are as shown and make the camping easier if you're interested in it. Mila, the host, is incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. The drive way up to the property is quite steep, and be prepared to drive up it on paved tire tracks, but Mila will send you clear directions to get there. I would definitely stay here again!
Mila is a wonderful host and has created a lovely camping spot for the weary traveller. Easy access, yet private, you can setup your tent nestled on the mountain side, among beautiful trees and rock formations. Thank you Mila!
Do yourself a favor and stay here!
What a magical experience! I loved being nestled in the forest with a wide open view of the beautiful stars! Also, my hosts were great communicators and were warmly welcoming. Thank you for a delightful stay!
