Resting at 2,800’ feet approximately an hour away from the hustle and bustle . This parcel of land is limited to four sites. Each site is designed to maximize campers privacy. Rent one site or all four sites for your own privately gated camping experience. Access to all four sites is through a private locked gate. Hidden away at the end of the campsite driveway, this site includes a roundabout shaded by Chinquapin trees (they have delicious edible nuts covered by delicate needle covered husks.) and a larger than 20X30 level pad overlooking the South Bay Valley. Picnic table, trash can, propane firepit & water are provided at each site.. Bring your own propane or add it as an extra and it will be hooked up ready to go.Since this is our first year renting our land we have found that August is a high wasp season time in the mountains. We are doing everything humanly possible to hunt down each and every Wasp for your enjoyment. With this in mind we ask you use the provided bug repellent, keep the lid to the trash closed, and do not pour grease anywhere you do not want wasps
Experience everything the Bay Area has to offer from this mountain top site. With jaw dropping views, and roughly 50 minutes to any city in the Bay Area, this site is ideal for any person looking for an adventurous (Minimum) two day getaway retreat.
The trip to the site will begin with a three mile drive on a private dirt road. Plan on arriving before sunset, unless you’re a seasoned camper. Being on the very top of a mountain brings more seasonality than the surrounding cities. Please be prepared for any kind of extreme weather. Summer: Shade is highly recommended it can get into triple digits. *Spring/fall: Temperatures are generally mild but high winds are possible. *Winter: Typically cold and windy. *During rainy/muddy conditions 4x4/AWD is highly recommended. It is possible for it to get windy, foggy, rainy, hot and sunny, and even sometimes snowy. Although the mountains are generally quiet and peaceful it is possible to hear sounds such as chainsaws, gunshots, motorcycles, other automobiles, birds chirping, laughter, etc. It is generally very quiet once the sun goes down. Cell service is good on these sites.

Great camping trip!
It was great! Very relaxing trip. the stars are beautiful at night. The hosts took our trash which was very very nice not to have to bring all that home! I would stay here again. The bathroom was there and it was just fine. You may see some comments but my view is, at least there is a bathroom people. Many campsites may or may not even provide them.
All in all, Hosts were nice to us and very attentive. I felt welcome.
Spectacular views in a safe remote
I loved the place really. The view was spectacular and the campsite was really well done. It needs time to establish itself. The drive in is 4 miles BTW. Get there early. The whole top of the mountain feels like camp sites. This feels like a newer one. I think the toilet although it is one is a stretch. I have both a houseboat and an RV and the toilets I have are rough. This one was rougher. Just be prepared to camp in and camp out. It’s far from civilization and for my needs I needs something that was a little closer to my in and out needs Bring food and a great attitude and a propane tank and it will be everything you make of it.
Site #1 at Valley View was a great place to stay. We really enjoyed our 2 nights there in early Sept 2021. It has lots of space, a convenient picnic table and a fire table (needs the bigger propane tank to connect- doesn't work with small disposable propane tanks). There was a spigot with non-potable water there and a convenient toilet shared between the sites (the whole place never felt crowded). The site is flat but a little sandy. Quite hot during the day with lots of sun but does have some shady areas available. Night time and sunrise were the best at this site. Very comfortable at night, less bugs and no wasps at night. Oh yes, the wasps- they were out in force while we were there particularly when you try to take any food out to eat. There were wasps bait traps in place but not sure how much they were helping. Again they mostly went away at night. Great views of the valley! No bayviews from this site (those are on the other side of the road).
Awesome stay at sand point campsite
Awesome stay at Sand Point! Beautiful campsite with lovely views, large flat site, plenty of parking and a great propane fire. The hosts were responsive, kind and very helpful. One note is that we were there end of August and it turned out to be very hot. Bring an awning if you are visiting around this time of year as there is not much shade!
The hosts were wonderful and very responsive to the issue of someone else being in our campsite. August is an active month for yellow jacket wasps and there were a lot of them in the campsite. The hosts said the last campers there took down the yellow jacket traps, and they started putting up new ones. They also gave us a free canister of propane to run the desk-style fire pit. Still, I'd choose a time of year when the wasps are less active.
Really cool zone in the SC Mountains, that you're unlikely to visit legally otherwise! Responsive host, clean site, great views of the south bay from the property, and Monterey Bay from the drive in, or a short walk up the road. The toilet is tiny, and site #1 could use a shade structure for $75 a night. Overall, highly recommend!
Sarah and Noah have done an amazing job with this property.
Super clean, level, great view, and private.
Last, but not least, they were very helpful guiding us to the site.
Get away from it all
Noah has a bunch of great spots on Summit Road. Even though there were several other groups camping nearby, we felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves.
While it’s easy to get up to Noah’s place in a car, a word of warning to RVers: Summit Road can be tricky for large trailers. Ours is pretty heavy, and I needed 4WD to keep moving forward on the steep gravelly sections. There are also some tight spots on the road that require careful negotiation of the turns. The road is definitely safe for an RV, but you need to be confident in your driving skills to avoid scraping your rig on a tree trunk.
That said, we will definitely come back again. Noah and his wife left a welcome note for us, along with bug spray, sunscreen, and playing cards. Noah even fetched his chainsaw so he could cut down 2 branches that were going to scrape the top of my RV as I was backing into the site.
