This campsite can accommodate up to four people in either a four man tent or two two-man tents. The first campsite, Cosmo as a separate listing, can accommodate up to 6, and our Pond campsite can accommodate up to 8 total.

Millie campsites: Set in an old growth redwood grove looking to the west across a pasture.  You'll have the best views of the animals as they graze, and they might even walk right through your campsite in the early morning hours!  You can always help us feed them at 7:30 AM or 4:30 PM.   Don't forget your flashlight!

The compost toilet and outdoor shower nearby the yurt may be utilized by Shanti Pond and Forest campers. The campfire is also communal and campers may come and enjoy it until 9-10 PM, unless you and the yurt guests mutually decide otherwise. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to the yurt guests. Also, we recommend all guests unload and then park below in the horse arena for the best feeling of isolation in nature.

A note about summer heat: The pond is rain fed only. It gradually dries out throughout the summer. In 2016 and 2017, it dried out almost entirely. Elizabeth found a six foot plastic dinghy at the bottom of the Enchanted Pond two years ago! It is important to note therefore, that the level of the pond fluctuates with nature and cannot be guaranteed. Check with Elizabeth prior to your arrival to see how the pond is doing in 2018. Hopefully the ground stays saturated with moisture from the rains this winter and the pond stays more full in 2018!

Looking forward to having you at the farm!

Overall we had a great experience here! She has a beautiful property with lots of redwoods, shade, and fun animals. It was really fun being right next to the horse pasture and our dog made friends with them through the fence! The campsite is on a slope with very little flat ground, so if you have a larger tent it may be difficult to find a place to put it up. We were sliding down our tent while sleeping from the slope. The site was mostly private, however the neighbor was in the horse pasture for a a lot of time we were there working and chipping wood which was pretty loud. Overall though, it was really fun. I would come back again but I would pick a different site.

Shanti Permaculture Farm was our first Hipcamp experience as a family of 3 with a 10-months old, and it was a very smooth and friendly experience!
We showed up with a massively oversized tent to fit our little-one's pack-and-play, and Elizabeth offered us to set up camp in a bigger spot that was free. The volunteers on the farm, William and Adam, were also super helpful and friendly with a great sense of hospitality.

Elizabeth was super chill and a welcoming host. The farm is beautiful and self sustained. There are four campsites, a yurt and a cottage to choose from all on the same strip of land. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a get away. AT&T had spotty to no service. It was nice to unplug and not be consumed by technology (coming from SF here). If you're looking to stay on a farm in a forest this is for you. The grounds are beautifully maintained.

Super friendly animals all around. Main house where host greeted us. (: Where we pitched camp, inside redwood fairy circle. Cup of noodles at the (provided) propane stove top. Super cool and nice views.

Great place, great host and great animal friends! It was a unique experience and all positive vibes. Campsites were tucked away it redwood groves giving each site privacy. I will definitely recommend!

I love her place and I want to bring my son back there again. Elizabeth has so many animals. We got to find chicken eggs and collect them for her in the morning and we got to feed all the sheep, lama, chicken and ducks also. I love the red wood tree and there is plenty of shade to keep it cool in the day time. It s not too far from the river so we could drive to swim in the river and come bAck to cook at our tent :)

Very nice camp site nestled in redwood fairy ring on a small farm. We fell in love with Rascal the cat. He hung out with us most of our stay. Elizabeth was a helpful and friendly camp host.

This is a beautiful farm surrounded by redwood trees. Adorable farm animals wander the property and everyone on the property is very friendly. We had a great time camping here and would recommend it to anyone.
