Get away from it all, while being in the middle of everything! Resting at 2,800’ feet enjoy this acre of privacy while camping on your own secluded parcel with unparalleled views.

Experience everything the Bay Area has to offer from this mountain top site. With jaw dropping views, and roughly 50 minutes to any city in the Bay Area, this site is ideal for any person looking for an adventurous getaway retreat.

The Serenity and privacy make this an uncommon, yet ideal romantic trip.  This site is sheltered by the manzanitas and pines of this chaparral community.

Adventure seekers will find paradise here!  Mount Madonna Park with miles of trails is 20 minutes down the road. You can dump your septic there as well!  Horseback riding rentals are located near the park as well as an archery range.

Demonstration forest is 15 minutes down the road, with miles of mountain biking. Spend a day at one of the beaches in Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Rio Del Mar, Davenport, Half Moon Bay, Monterey, or Carmel and return to your private oasis. Or Explore Silicon Valley from this centrally located parcel.

Kim Son Meditation Center and Mount Madonna Center are approximately 15 minutes away.  There are also wonderful wineries throughout the mountains here.

The trip to the site will begin with a three mile drive on a private dirt road.  Being on the very top of a mountain brings more seasonality than the surrounding cities.  Please be prepared for any kind of extreme weather.  It is possible for it to get windy, foggy, rainy, hot and sunny, and even sometimes snowy.

Please note: the nearest grocer is 30 minutes from this site. Emergency supplies are available for delivery to your campsite. Cell phone reception is good on most carriers.  Pets are allowed.  Enjoy your time howling at the moon, star gazing, bird watching/wildlife viewing, or relaxing with your favorite libation.

Don't forget your camera!

Since this is our first year renting our land we have found that August is a high wasp season time in the mountains. We are doing everything humanly possible to hunt down each and every Wasp for your enjoyment. With this in mind we ask you use the provided bug repellent, keep the lid to the trash closed, and do not pour grease anywhere you do not want wasps.

Great experience overall. A few key takeaways:
- This site is very spacious we had 2 tents on the top terrace and one large tent below.
- Private - you hear cars/motorbikes every once in a while, but we never physically saw another camper
- Flat - lots of room for many tents
- Very Little Shade - bring a canopy or large umbrellas, it gets HOT up there
- Bumpy Roads - easy trek for a 4w or all-wheel vehicle, but lots of bumpy dirt roads
- Great Communication - the Hosts we're very communicative and helpful - they even setup a propane fire pit for us (extra upon request)
- Trash Onsite - was great to have a trash bin

Beautiful land and gracious attentive hosts. Beware the yellow jackets, they mean business. Definitely bring your own shade.

First of all it was mostly a okay time if you know what your getting into. The yellow jackets were out of control during the day though, maybe 40 of them swarming any food or where food had been before. On the 3rd day we just said screw it and left the camp to cook breakfast and meals at pinto lake 40mins away. There isn’t any shade so be prepared if tent camping to be woken up early with sun and heat, 6:30am daily was brutal because we wanted to sleep in. We brought a canopy which saved us during the day. There was an outhouse trailer toilet kinda thing that we had to poor water into to make it flush. Site 4 is setup for an RV or trailer where you can hide to cook indoors or behind a screen.
It’s kinda a rough camping spot but the views were amazing and so pretty.

We wish you would have contacted us about any issue. We are here 7 day a week for assistance. You never know what whether you’re going to get, today it’s cold and foggy. Too cold for wasps and thank you for alerting us to the issue we are working on it diligently. We are constantly improving the campgrounds thank you so much. Your feedback is essential. Happy Camping

The road can be a little rough, but it’s worth it and part of the adventure to get to this ridgetop spot with 360 deg views. Noah and Sarah have put a lot of thought and work into making each site really nice - graded for easy access with large flat area right where you want to park (with a 24’ camper van, that’s a bonus), camp table on a nice flat area with a view where you’d expect it to be, privacy from the other sites, totally clean and nothing junky. These might sound like small things, but it’s a plus to find a camp that’s set up this thoughtfully.

Excellent camping site! This place has a great view and is perfect for an overnight stay with a significant other or small group of friends. The dirt road to get there isnt too bad and was actually quite fun to drive up. Will definitely be back to maybe check out the other sites on the property!

Beautiful for sunset, great for an early rise. Sunset and evening was great, I loved having the picnic table there and had a great night playing cards and snacking. There’s very limited shade so the morning’s sun came on strong and along with it so did the yellow jackets. No big deal as we had plans to move along quickly, but I did decide not to make breakfast like we’d planned. —I’d recommend a bug net or enclosure if you plan to stay multiple days. Also this ones right next to the baño so you will hear people all night on their adventures. Beautiful drive up the mountain with pretty specacular views. I’d go back for sure but chose a different site, though I’m thankful this one was open and I was able to book with less than 48hrs in advance.

Thanks for the review. We wish you would have told us about the yellow jacket problem so we could have dealt with it sooner. We became aware of yesterday while cleaning as I asked the camper after you if they noticed a problem and they said no. We added traps just Incase and now ask guest to keep the lid closed to the trash can so not to attract them. Happy camping
