Our Creekside Camp offers secluded tranquility on the banks of Salmon Creek, home of collaborative efforts to restore native Coho Salmon. Up to 4 campers are included in the base price and sites can accommodate a few additional people, some more than others. If your group is larger than 4, please utilize the additional person feature. Early check in and late check out are sometimes possible—but check with us first. Well-behaved dogs are most welcome, despite what it might say during the booking procedure.
During the warmer months, this private camp (REACHED VIA SALMON CREEK ROAD, NOT OUR MAIN RANCH ENTRANCE ON BAY HILL ROAD) offers access to the many miles of hiking trails on the ranch via a convenient log bridge over the creek. After crossing the creek by foot and heading uphill through the redwood, fir and bay laurel forest to the open uplands, you will be able to view the hundreds of acres of natural pasture lands of the ranch (with our ducks, goats and Scottish Highland cattle).
This listing currently offers three sites, each with a picnic table, a fire pit (with grill) and a nearby port-a-potty, all easily accessible by car via Salmon Creek Rd (a very seldom traveled country road). Currently during Covid-19 accommodation at each spot is limited to 6 campers. Creekside #1 is right inside the gate and most accessible from the road. Creekside #2 sits amid a stand of redwoods. Creekside #3 sits on a knoll above the creek with a private path down to the pools and a tent deck and several forest "rooms". Camper vans are suitable for all spots, and small teardrop trailers can be accommodated in Creekside #1 and #2.
Bring your own firewood and potable water, and be prepared to take away your trash. Four wheel drive tours of the ranch and forest are available at an additional cost by arrangement, enabling you to visit some of the more remote, scenic and steep areas of the property in comfort.

Lovely location right next to a creek. The property was beautiful and it was pleasant to spend time there. Thank you!
Well-maintained, accessible site. Tucked away in the hills, but close to the coast and some great trails.
Highly recommend! Sites were beautiful, secluded and clean. Amazing property to meander around and hosts were available if needed and communicative but gave everyone privacy too. I texted friends to see if we could all plan a return trip!

It was fine but didn’t quite feel like the picture or your rating described out experience.
Very cool site! Lots of good hiking on the ranch. Porto was clean. Our dog had a great time.
Creekside number 3 was a fantastic spot! Off the beaten path and pretty secluded, and very well maintained. Would highly recommend and would return.
Beautiful little detour on our way home from our summer road trip. The road back is small and winding but all of sudden, you find a small little refuge along the creek. The sites are small but private and while there is a road right behind you, it’s rarely travelled. The redwoods and creek make this a uniquely restorative spot to stop. Truly what makes Hipcamp unique!
