Salmon Creek Campgrounds

I had a wonderful time at this campsite! Beautiful views, regular appearances from deer, and very generous spirited hosts. They got me out of a jam when I couldn’t level my trailer which meant a lot to me. Would happily stay again!

Wonderful tent camping at this property! Beautiful grassy field and a lot of space between spots. Would definitely return!

The kids and I really a enjoyed our stay. While it was just a few mile drive from the avenue of the giants, it was certainly far enough to feel secluded. The views of the surrounding ranges were spectacular. They provided a large outdoor stove (we used it for a couple meals), fridge, and dish washing station. They are planning to add some spots and we plan to come back. We highly recommend this spot if you are van campers or someone looking to avoid the crowds and noise of the highway.

Beautiful open meadow campsite near Avenue of the Giants. Wonderful open skies for stargazing. Excellent friendly host.

We loved our stay here! The land is beautiful. The pond and Mountain views are gorgeous and this space is very quiet and peaceful. Mary Jo and Rich were above and beyond accommodating and hospitable and gave us plenty of information on the area and made us feel at home immediately. There are lots of awesome additions here like the outdoor shower, toilet, bbq, trash, etc that a lot of other hip camps don’t have, and we loved that we were right in the redwoods and such a close drive to some really beautiful scenic spots. We had a really rejuvenating stay here and would definitely come back!

We had a great time staying on this property. We especially appreciated Hank and Willy (the two dogs)! They played wonderfully with our pup Ollie. One comment for improvement would be to take more advantage of the flat space on the rest of the property for hipcampers. We did have some challenge leveling our campsite. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

The hosts were very friendly, and the yurt was cute- they set it up with beers and ice cold waters, and a little welcome message on a chalkboard. A bit of an odd set up, tho, with a Port-a-potty and the bathroom of a parked campervan on site near the hosts’ home as the bathroom options.

Very welcoming! Felt like home! The spot had much more to offer than we hoped for. We will be booking again!

The hosts were very friendly and the spot was beautiful! We weren't there during the day, so I'm not sure how hot it got, but the mornings and evenings were very pleasant.
