Nearly four acres close to town and amenities, yet quiet and secluded. Away from any major roads and on quiet nights, the fog horn from the Big River buoy can be heard. Wildlife on the property include piliated woodpeckers, deer, raccoons, jack rabbits, bears (keep your trash and food inside!), mountain lions, foxes, and of course, our resident ravens. Wild huckleberries and rhododendrons are abundant among the redwoods and fir. A beautiful spot to spend the night!

Root's End Tent Site

Well appointed and maintained!

Lovely spot. Drop toilet was the nicest one I have ever used. Host was very nice. Firewood stacked at each site. It's been so rainy that we were very glad to have a fire starter with us. Felt like we were deep in the wild forest but just minutes from the cute town of Mendocino. So quiet and secluded and well appointed and maintained.

Fisherman's Shack

Lovely spot that feels private but is also very close to town. Lots of thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing touches (not to mention firewood and a fire pit).

Beautiful and peaceful spot. Would highly recommend if you want a restful getaway, a campfire and some quiet time. Only issue is wood was wet. Bring a few dry logs and a Firestarter in rainy season, to get your fire going.

Tiny House Among the Redwoods

Perfect spot and we'll maintained. Not to far out of town as well so making food or restaurant runs is super easy as well. Can't wait to rent again another weekend.

Root's End Tent Site

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was a wet winter weekend and the site was a little soggy- a little challenging to drive in and out without getting stuck. Tent site was empty when we stayed so we enjoyed the privacy. If there were campers next to us, it would have felt like a campground.

10/10 Will Stay Again

The tiny home was everything we could have asked for and Molly was very accommodating and let us know some local spots to hit up! One stop light away from town, making it easy to get to restaurants, shopping and the ocean. It was nice and peaceful during the off season since we were the only ones there. Can’t wait to stay here again!
