This campsite was great! There were 3 spots with RV hookups (water and electric) Larry, curly, and moe. Larry and curly are right next to each other, moe is a little further and more secluded. Gravel sight with picnic tables. Lots of dry camping sights spread through the property. All very spread out and you don’t feel like there are many people there. Trails along the river as well as river access. There is a great big fire pit surrounded by huge rocks to sit on, about a 5 min walk from Curly and on the river. There was a fire ban so we didn’t get to enjoy it this time. There is a volleyball net and corn hole as well. Nice little beach on the river we enjoyed with the kids, bring umbrella and chairs! Water is calm and beautiful in the morning, gets stronger and higher in the afternoon. Just down the street from historic gold rush sights as well as local food and breweries. Great spot, we want to come back! AND best of all they had availability last minute for Labor Day weekend. What a hidden gem!

Water is low and calm in the morning. Great little beach area, perfect for children.

We had a great time at the Cove! We felt like we had our own private spot on the river for the weekend (full disclosure- the campground was maybe half-full when we were there). Our young kids loved the small cove (it was calm enough in the cove for them to play in shallow water but the water flows quickly on the weekends outside the cove so it was too fast for them to spend much time on our kayaks), the ping pong, the volleyball court, and the cornhole boards. Our RV spot was level and easy to access. We also appreciated how communicative Aaron and Rebecca were throughout the trip. Overall, it was a very relaxing place to beat the heat.

Great swimming! Showers were nice and entire campground was clean. Had a class A in Curley and the electric and water hook ups worked great. View at the waters edge was picturesque.

We absolutely loved this campground. Aaron and the Host were so accommodating and kind. The river was just a short walk from the site and the sites were spread out enough where you had a lot of privacy. The facilities were nice and clean and the propane fire pit was a huge bonus. We will absolutely stay here again.

I have mixed feelings about writing this review—because this camp is an absolute hidden gem and I don’t want people to find it and overrun the place… but the hosts deserve credit for this great campground. Seriously one of the best private campgrounds in CA. Went there with a few friends in tents and my small camper trailer for the weekend. Great river access, enough shade around the individual sites and general campground, very convenient amenities… and Aaron is a top notch individual, all around great guy.
