If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We absolutely enjoyed this cute camper! The hosts were responsive and even offered another blanket to us the 2nd day, as it was cooooold at night. The heater doesn't really get the space all that warm, but we enjoyed hanging out next to it. The hot shower only lasts a few minutes, at most. So be prepared for that! The bed was cozy, as was the whole place, inside and out. If we were there longer, we could have enjoyed more of the outdoor space. Pappy's was excellent for food, ambience and a concert. Trail running is nearby. Arriving at night was a minor challenge, as we couldn't see the entrance and didn't have cell reception to call. Make sure you turn into the property at the first gate, just prior to the entrance to the home on the property. We were able to make a call from Pappy's to sort it out. We'd definitely stay here again.
Stationary rv camping delight :0)
Awesome place! I mean come on.. it's an RV style camper that comes with a horse, a donkey, a baby goat & a few chickens who lay fresh eggs?! It's nestled away in a quiet area with an outdoor gas grill and fire place.. mini fridge on the front step.. and all the chairs and/or space you'll need whilst you sit back & chill out in the desert sun or under the stars at night. It's walking distance to Pappy & Harriets and a quick trip to town for any local pop up shops, restaurants, fast food, etc.
NOTE :: there's a very nice main house on the land as well, which I'm sure you'd be able to secure (along with the RV camper) if you had a crew of people looking to venture out into the desert one week/weekend.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this place and I'd go back again anytime. Cheers!
The location is fabulous with beautiful vistas, farm animals, and a relaxed vibe. I grew up with horses and live the smell of them, but if farm smells bother you, thus might not be your jam.
Shawn was great, Hote (the donkey) was a hoot and the property was huge & gorgeous. He had rented out the main house as well but other than seeing them visit Hote and waiving hello, we had little to no interaction with them.
My only disappointment was that the chickens didn't lay any eggs for us... but I suppose that's not something Shawn or the property has control over lol.
