Be sure to let me know the day before arrival of expected ETA and then keep me up to date on that as I always hope to receive guests. This is a quiet spot with sensitive neighbors so campers must maintain that ambience when on or near the property. We are also very conservation minded in all we do here. We trust guests will follow our standards here and display good manners.

This is a very artistic and rustic property right in town, near the train station. It is nestled against a small hill that offers fantastic views in all directions. We have many hiking opportunities, a sweet downtown (with a creek), a small lake in town and the vast Pacific Ocean about 10 miles away. There are oodles of beaches, a protected bay with all the water sports you can imagine and close access to the world famous Big Sur coast and Hearst Castle. Located 12 miles inland from Montana de Oro and Morro Bay.

Pete’s got a charming property close to downtown with a few spots to choose from. You can camp close to the street to make unloading or accessing your vehicle very convenient or opt for the very scenic spot, which is what I did. I only had a tent and sleeping bag to unload so it worked perfectly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time I’m in town. Thanks Pete!

My only complaint about Mike's stay is how little time we had to chat. I guess both of us were too busy but maybe next time.

Truly a quiet, unique, amazing spot right outside of town with good people and good vibes. Pete’s is an excellent host and his dogs are so sweet.

Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Pete was an amazing host, and this spot is really special! Its location is perfect, about a 5 minute walk to train station across a beautiful bridge. And 10 / 15 minute beautiful walk to downtown. The space is super cool and unique, unlike anywhere I have stayed before. The cost is a little on the high side, but SLO is a more expensive area. This is such a better option than a hotel, and you get access to a really nice indoor bathroom. The dogs are so friendly, and there's a beautiful view of the peaks in SLO from the platform up top. I'm grateful Pete opens up his home to people through this platform, and I'm grateful we got the chance to stay!

Chris and Lolly were a delight to share with. Though I was a bit under the weather I thoroughly enjoyed what little time we had together and recommend them to other hosts. They are a credit to hipcamp, stellar voyagers on the sea of life.

Pete and Pete’s place are awesome! Highly recommended if you like clean and unique places. There is a little noise at night (it is on the edge of town) if you are in a tent but quieter than almost every campground I have been in in my 53 years camping. Check it out!

Pete was super friendly and hospitable, the spots he set up for campers were leveled, comfortable, and easy to pitch a tent. I loved the atmosphere with all the art and projects, a great view, and a super easy walk to downtown SLO.

Loved the art and plants at Pete's place, and also his adorable dogs. It's ideally situated a walk away from downtown and has a nice hill behind it as well. Thanks for hosting us!

Pete’s spot was a great central location in SLO. We stayed in the back spot and the view was lovely. We brought our bikes and were out all day so it served our need for a place to crash at night when every other hotel and Airbnb was charging $200/night. The only negative was there were a few other groups of people staying at Pete’s the weekend we were there and it felt a little strange walking through the house to use what I think was the only bathroom for all of us plus Pete and his roommates. We were luckily able to shower midday when everyone else was out and about.
