Pitch your tent across from a massive expanse of land that leads to the foothills of Joshua Tree National Park's backcountry. There's no shortage of infinite beauty here. Enjoy the solitude day and night. And then treat yourself to a massive bath you can enjoy in the most amazing outdoor surroundings.

After a hot day of hiking, nothing beats being completely immersed in a body of water. It's the best way of staying cool in the summer months. There are bath rituals you can find online or make your own.

The tenting area has slices of the ground paved so you don't need to camp right on the rocks. There's also a rock fire pit you can use.

There's an adjacent Hipcamp on the same property which includes the fenced area and the Quonset Hut (the steel shed). That listing is called "El Primo Quonset Camping." Book both for more options and privacy.

Please use "bio-compatible" soap/shampoo/toothpaste only since as you can see, the water will drain out to the nearby creosote and beyond.

At night, get ready to see practically every constellation. Despite the neighboring Marine base, there's plenty of darkness to see the ISS fly by. At 8 pm and 8 am, you'll hear Taps in the distance. And on some nights they will run ops and that's just an added bonus.

The loo is a single wall outhouse (a single panel of corrugated steel fencing) and a bucket toilet.  Toilet paper and bucket liners are provided. One heavy duty garbage bag is inside the top drawer of the white cabinet near the tub. Use one of those for your entire stay and take it with you.

Please respect my neighbors, the land & leave no trace. And pack your poo please.
