For a long road trip up the PCH, take a minute to relax in the country in this gorgeous camp.
Things YOU Care About:
-The drive out to camp is the most beautiful. Avoid driving in at night to maintain a regret-free life.
-The cabin is silent, private, and lovely. .... Well, by silent I mean SO MANY birds and frogs.
-There is reception enough to catch up on that Netflix soap that you have secretly been watching.
-The water is HOT.
-The kitchen is cute, functional, and clean. However, I'd recommend grocery shopping daily/packing ice for fresh and easy cooking.
-The bed is a full sized mattress- but comfortable and surrounded by the most perfect windows.
-The hosts are lovely folks and very helpful.
And things I suggest for you:
-Block out extra time to truly relax here. I know you are in a rush to get to the 17-mile drive and aquarium, but this space is better than anything thattaway.
-BYO toiletries.
-CLOSE the doors at all times. There are lots of (harmless) buggies that make it their mission in life to cuddle with you when you are dead asleep otherwise.
-There are several knives but I'd recommend picking up pre-cut foods if you are thinking of doing anything serious in the kitchen.
Beautiful landscape, cozy cabin & friendly host. Sites are spaced out for privacy, but hosts are nearby if you need something. There is so much charm & craftsmanship put into the cabin build, even down to handmade door handles. We also appreciated the art, it adds a lovely touch to the atmosphere inside. Hot water is a huge bonus & the outdoor kitchen is wonderful. Lots of stuff to do within a short drive & a great area to explore. Would recommend to any nature lover.
Joseph's cabin was great! In a nice quiet location, and well built and equipped with surprising modern conveniences. Would highly recommend!
Really lovely little camp cabin. Has everything you need to elevate your camping experience while maintaining the outdoor feels. It was so nice to have a flush toilet and indoor sleeping area while being able to prepare food outdoors.
The property is somewhat remote, tucked away from light pollution, providing excellent stargazing. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of this trip, and the hosts were excellent.
I stayed here for two nights and one full day on a solo retreat. I told Joseph I was pregnant and he and his family were lovely and thoughtful, making sure I had everything I needed and was safe. The cabin was cool and conscientiously hand-built by Joseph under a big oak tree with a full bathroom and cute camping kitchenette. There are rocking chairs and picnic benches, a BBQ and even a sweet patch of grass to stretch on. Excellent glamping situation.
Lovely location and cozy cabin. The drive up to the cabin is a bit twisty and some parts are narrow. The views as you drive are all about Carmel Valley. Joseph was very kind and generous, especially when we accidentally went to the wrong cabin. We never got the hot water worked out, still a great place.
The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. The cabin was great, especially the fact that it had an outdoor kitchen and the grill. The camp site is far enough from the others to feel very quiet and private. Even though I barely used my phone, I really appreciated having the USB chargers!
The nearby Carmel Valley Village has a quaint charm to it with some small markets and shops. Plus the climate is great there, even by CA standards!

She was an amazing guest. We were so proud of her coming by herself while she was 8 months pregnant. Pretty amazing.
