Hi!! We are excited to be open for Hip Camp!!! We are brand new and been working very hard to offer a great place for you to come be in nature and be a base camp for your outdoor adventures in the Yosemite area!!! Check us out!

Creek View is a large site overlooking the creek, with room for multiple tents and has a picnic table. There is plenty of space between sites for your privacy.

Cobb Creek runs through the property in the camping area with trickling water sounds, wild mint,  and other greenery for a beautiful relaxing backdrop, with frog songs to serenade you off to sleep. The water level is getting lower as the weather is getting warmer but there are areas that are spring fed and have water year round.  There is a pooled area in the creek to enjoy for cooling off after outdoor activities.

Our property was a site for gold mining back in the day and has an abandoned mine. We are 30 min from the gate of Yosemite's 120 entrance. There are many outdoor activities available in this amazing and beautiful area where we live. Enjoy!

Pamela was very friendly, hospitable, and available for assistance during our stay. There is a small creek that runs through the middle of the ranch (probably larger in the spring). Cammy and Charlie (the Great Pyrenees dogs) are also wonderful hosts and sometimes invite neighbor dog friends into the area. You can hear them barking at night keeping larger wildlife at bay (there can be bears and mountain lions around) and keeping the camp safe. Pamela's son Hunter was also around to help with receiving guests and maintaining the property, which is sizable with garden boxes, two communal fire pits (and firewood supplied), showers/compostable toilet, and 8-10 campsites.

Most of the campsites are best accessible with a 4WD vehicle. Some of the sites have tree cover for hot summer days. Many of the sites are in close proximity to each other, which sometimes makes it a little difficult to find privacy when reservations are full, but just don't be a d*ck and keep your noise down after sundown.

My party didn't spend much time hanging out at the camp grounds during the day, as we selected this location for its proximity to the W-120 Yosemite entrance. It's about 40 minutes to the entrance without traffic. Groveland is a lovely nearby town to poke around and relax while taking a break from hiking.

Overall, a really pleasant experience, well-maintained ranch, and friendly hosts. Wish I could go back already.
