We really lucked out with a last minute booking for Labor Day weekend. The camp site itself was very well kept and close to Sequoia. Butt the star of this camp site was our gracious and kind host, Linda. Linda runs the Pinehurst Lodge saloon / restaurant in addition to the campsite. She made us feel very welcomed right off the bat and it was so nice getting to know her. In addition, we had such a great time enjoying her wonderful cocktails and amazing food. The events hosted were so much fun especially the live band on Saturday night. We highly recommend coming to camp at this site for a different experience than traditional camping.
Thank you Linda! We wish you all the happiness and success in the world. Hopefully we will see you again before you move onto your new adventures :)
Beautiful, fun place! Linda was very accommodating and we got a nice shady tent site near the lodge! The games and live music at the lodge porch on Saturday night were a great vibe, and other than that night, we really didn’t spend much time on-site because we were in Kings & Sequoia parks allll weekend. The wasps & bugs sure did come out at the crack of dawn because they were attracted to my breakfast cooking on my camp stove at sunrise. That’s just summer drought for ya. Will absolutely be back!!!
We had an overall positive experience here, but our specific campsite was extremely dusty (others appeared less dusty). Having the bar, restaurant bathroom, and general store on site was really convenient, especially for the night we decided not to cook. The bar was pretty loud on Saturday night—something to keep in mind for campers looking for total quiet on weekends. Fortunately the campsites were spread out so we had privacy.
Hot pup summer
Had a great time car camping on Linda’s land! She was super accommodating and Wendy at the bar was very kind and helped us when we arrived later than we expected. There was lovely live music at the bar Saturday night which was heard through the campsite. The campsite was clean and quiet with access to a porta potty and a shower. We stayed with our little pup at site 7 which had shade and enough distance from other campers which she likes on the hot days we were there. We would definitely stay there again in the future and would recommend others to stay there as well!
This campground is a gem!
This campground is a true gem with hosts Linda and Jason who bent over backwards to accommodate every need. Shady pitches with a restaurant and bar on site. Teething issues with the showers were soon sorted and we were offered showers at the neighbours campsite. Superb live and lively entertainment at the bar. A great gig by Jason and Good ‘Ol Boyz (check them out on YouTube!) Food far surpassed anything else we’ve had. Linda likes everything cooked fresh and it was tasty - she’s a true chef! Shout out to ‘Mustang Sally’ Wendy, Justin and Dale for also making us feel so welcome. Within very easy reach of Kings Canyon National Park - only 10min drive away. A fab experience all round.
