The campground was really nice and big, great for a big group. Only downsides were we had to wait an hour for someone to check us in, despite calling the number provided multiple times. We had to search for a secondary phone number and finally got a ahold of someone after waiting on hour. Also, the campsite was advertised as having cooking equipment available and there was nothing there.

Joe was a gracious host in helping us plan and execute a special group camping weekend that all guests enjoyed. He patiently answered all questions in the two months leading up to the event, and was wonderfully flexible since we weren't sure how many people were coming. The build-your-own pizza lunch that Noah catered was beyond our expectations, and she also helped us out big time by finding room for our drinks beforehand. Thank you Joe and Noah for making the weekend a memory of a lifetime!

Had a great time with a group!

This is a campground/resort with a number of cabins (including semipermanent residents), a swimming pool, and camping space. We had the whole camping area to ourselves, surrounded by cabins. Could easily have fit 10 campsites, maybe more.

Weather in summer was hot, but campsite was well-shaded (lots of beautiful tall trees), so we were warm but not uncomfortable. We played in a the pool a lot, which is open to the public on weekends (but was never too crowded).

Location is excellent; two minutes' drive from restaurants and a grocery store. Lots to do in the area--wineries, canoeing, hiking (though beware--it can get hot on the trails!).

Joe saved our 4th of July camping adventure from being fired out. Due to fires our original camping plans were derailed and we were desperate to find a campsite on the holiday weekend. Lucky for us, Joe had his group site available. We had a few families meet us and we were pleasantly surprised by the campsite and resort amenities. The pools are amazing complete with slide and diving board! Guests have early access before the pool opens to outside folks, that was especially nice during the busy weekend. Our kiddos had a blast. Joe was responsive and answered our slurry of questions for our last minute booking. He also provided some information on nearby hikes. We loved lounging by the pool to Joe’s bumping and eclectic playlist. And a huge bonus is the incredible Korean BBQ they offer at the pool cafe. Highly recommend. We appreciated seeing BLM signs and felt this was an inclusive and welcoming space. Many of the families there have been visiting for generations. Very cool spot. Thanks Joe!

Community and oasis in pine grove

Joe has created a wonderful community and oasis in the forests of Pine Grove. We had plenty of room for our tents, enjoyed the clean bathrooms, and got lots of use from the picnic tables, grills... and even the pizza oven!

The highlight is absolutely the community life around the swimming pool and the fire pit. Our kids made instant buddies and spent hours playing sharks and minnows. Our dogs made friends too, and loved exploring the stream.

You should know that the main camping area is in the heart of the resort, so there are cabins around you vs. you being out in the middle of the forest. But that sense of community and life is just what we were looking for over Memorial Day weekend. Thanks for your hospitality, Joe!

We stayed here in early April of 2020. It was quite cold at night and in the mornings but we pretty much had the platform area to ourselves.

There isn't a lot of space for camp supplies off platform and it's a bit of a walk to your car. The bathrooms, showers and water and in the main campground area a short walk/drive from the platforms.

Overall we liked the platform site but found the rest of the campground disappointing based on photos and reviews. The bathroom was clean enough but the shower could use some love and attention. The site area was always pretty dirty.

Personally we won't be coming back.
