Thank you Joe for our lovely vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation at Pine Grove Cobb Resort.
Our cabin was creekside, and the sounds of birds and bubbling creek were very relaxing. The shaded location was surrounded by beautiful tall trees, and was a welcome respite from the heat.
The 2 bedroom cabin was simple but not too rustic -- there was a nice kitchen with fridge/freezer and stove.
The bathroom was lovely. It was newly renovated with a tub-shower and plenty of hot water and venting.
Wi-fi was excellent -- that was a welcome surprise!
I enjoyed creek walking and lounging on the huge deck. I recommend bringing your own cushioned deck chairs, the built-in wood benches are very pretty, but too hard for prolonged reading.
The resort pool was absolutely pristine. The fresh spring pool was a brisk 66 degrees cold, but worth the "polar plunge".
We took a "day trip" to Lakeport on Clearlake. It was an easy drive for some jetski and kayaking activities.
My recommendation: grab your family, a good book and some groceries -- Pine Grove Cobb Resort is a great place for summertime relaxation!!
Thank you again, Joe, we hope to return next summer!

Fun place to stay with kids. We spent all day at the pool and early mornings/evenings playing in the creek. It’s nice to have the grill option for lunch/dinner. The popsicles/ice cream bars are really good. We liked that the pools weren’t too crowded even on Saturday. The pools are cold. The cabin was nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. The sound of the creek right outside was peaceful and we kept the windows open to listen to it. A picnic table on the deck overlooking the creek would be nice. As an FYI there is a lot of poison oak by the creek and outside the cabin so be careful. The wood burning pizza oven looked cool but we didn’t bring stuff to use it. Our stay felt like old-timey summer fun.

Cabin #5 was spacious, clean, and modern. It is situated next to a lovely babbling brook. There are other cabins/houses nearby, on both sides of the creek, but it's pretty quiet. The kitchen was well-stocked with new Ikea pots, dishes, and utensils. The beds were comfortable, and although you bring your own sheets and towels (and we were told we should bring our own blankets), there are pillows, blankets, a dishtowel, and a bath mat supplied with the house. Although we didn't need it, there was a wood-burning oven and wood. A porch with built-in benches was lovely to sit on, and it had both covered and uncovered portions. There was a nice charcoal grill outside as well (bring your own charcoal and chimney/lighter).

The cabin is within a "resort" with some longer-term residents. The pools are unheated, but clean and spacious, with a water slide and enclosed kiddie pools. There are chairs and benches and shade near the pool, as well as a volleyball court and a truly delicious grill serving a great variety of food and drinks. There is a cool "fire pit" with a built-in pizza oven (complete with peel) which we used for s'mores one night. There was plentiful wood.

It's a short drive to a nearby market that had a good selection of produce and everything else we needed (charcoal and a chimney for starting the charcoal).

Joe and other staff were very responsive, communicative, friendly, and helpful throughout.

We encountered nothing unpleasant at Pine Grove except for some meat-eating yellowjackets (which are actually a kind of wasp). They don't tend to sting, but the kids were alarmed by them, and they did swarm around the burgers we cooked on our grill.

If you or your kids get car sick, be warned that the roads leading to Pine Grove are unavoidably twisty (but very pretty).

Great place to bring kids. It's certainly not urban, but more of a camping resort like a KOA than a woodsy camping experience.

We had a lovely stay in the 2 bedroom cabin, perfect for 4 people. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the full equipped kitchen, charcoal grill, and eating on the table patio. The pool was refreshing on a hot Summer day, and the grassy knoll was perfect for laying out and reading. The cabin has a modern bathroom and was very clean. I would highly recommend staying at Pine Grove Resort! We also enjoying exploring wineries on the drive from SF :)
